ITT:"I'm not a germaphobe, but I'm so grossed out by germs being everywhere!"

You went to a shit Wendy's. The one by my work makes awesome spicy chicken sandwiches and the texture is like a perfectly cooked chicken breast.
Yeah I've never really heard of anyone that disliked a spicy chicken sandwich unless it was made shitty
This is probably the case. It was also clearly made in advance - they had it ready in about 20 seconds. Maybe that's the issue.

You people can start a germaphobe support group in general I don't see why it is in the fast food thread

I used to love Wendy's Spicy chicken sandwiches. Like, literally one of my favorite things in the world.

Then some heroic visionary opened a Chick Fil A.

A Culver's went up right next to the local Chipotle, so now we can eat a huge burrito and then walk a few steps to eat frozen custard. We can physically live large.
Welcome to fast food nirvana. They have a huge menu and the majority of everything is top notch great stuff. I love their pork tenderlions the best so far. Their fries are literally perfect.

The problem I have with taco bell is it seems like no matter which one I try lately, they always mess up my items somehow, and in general just seems the quality is just lower. And I'm not talking like, the quality is lower than sit down mexican restaurant. I'm just saying like it's noticeably worse than 10 years ago quality wise.

I feel like if they improved the ground beef a little bit, and weren't so stingy with the sour cream. Also if they'd stop repeating their creations.. How many different taco shells are they going to create for a new item? How many items are going to have chili cheese fritos in them? Guess what, they are soggy in no matter what item you make them in !

The new marketing campaign should be, here the same item we've always had, except this month we'll make it taste like it did 20 years ago. I don't need new mexican foods invented. I just need passable food delivered at a cheap price. No matter how you add beans, meat, cheese, sour cream, and a shell. It's still mexican food. Show me you're making the best bean burrito i've ever eaten, I'll try it for sure. Make another crunchrito thingie and I'll skip it cause it's just like the 4 other items that use the same ingredients.

I now just bypass taco bell and eat at Taco Time, which is just a step above taco bell. But it seems way higher. Prices are probably 20% higher than taco bell. But the quality is more than that.

It's all the same like what? 10 Ingredients. Just order whichever item has the combination you want. Who cares what it's called. Hell order what you want and change it if you like. I ordered this for lunch - Beef Quesarito: no rice, add beans, pico, lettuce, sour cream, tomato, and jalapenos.

To tell you the truth I haven't noticed any decline in product at Taco Bell.. it's the most consistent one for me actually.

Ya, Taco Bell is pretty consistent for the most part. Only inconsistent part about it really is that sometimes they don't really spread the ingredients out.

As a former Taco Bell employee this baffled me to no end. I would go out of my way when prepping food to make sure the ingredients were spread out evenly only to find shit was in sections throughout the burrito every. goddamn. time.

I miss their steak/chicken from the late 90's.

Fuck you Culver's!

Got a turtle concrete last night (pecans, caramel, hot fudge), and when I got home I realized they had forgotten to put any pecans in it.

Sons of bitches. Had to eat my hot fudge and caramel custard like a filthy peasant.

Are you expected to tip at Sonic? I went to one for the first time the other day and I wasn't sure on the protocol for when you sit in your car and they come out to your window. Ice cream was decent but nothing special. I'll probably return for half priced shakes after 8pm.

Do you tip Sonic Carhops? How do they get paid? : NoStupidQuestions
Dukenheizen 14 points 1 year ago

I supervise three Sonic Drive-ins. All of my carhops make minimum of $5.25/hour (minimum wage is $7.25 here in Arkansas). Customers tip the carhops more often than not. The carhop's intended purpose is to deliver the food and provide service as long as the customer is on the lot. They should check back with customers and cater to their needs. Whether they fulfill that purpose depends on the location and management. Some carhop's clear $14/hour after tips. The current credit card machines do not allow for tips but an upcoming menu and software upgrade should make an allowance.
