I don't think I've ever had a fast food chicken sandwich where I didn't think afterwards "I could have had a burger".
I don't know if bk still does the tendercrisp sandwich, but that was a good chicken sandwich. I used to have one like once a week until I learned they were pushing 1,000 calories and like 60 grams of fat.

LOL do they? Might have to reconsider them when I'm there, and yea, last I saw they still were.

Ya, nothing really wrong with sonic it just doesn't stand out. I mean why would you go there for a burger if you could go to five guys? They used to have an island fire cheeseburger that was really good, but their normal cheeseburgers are pretty average

They do have pretty good breakfast burritos though, ultimate meat and cheese is really good. Plus I just really love tater tots.
I'd go to Sonic (and BK, and McD's, etc.) over 5 Guys because it is a considerable price difference, not to mention the convenience factor.

Anyway, I was expecting the food to be noticeably bad given how often I've seen people in this thread badmouth Sonic's food, but it was alright.

Actually their website says they are only 660/40g of fat, but I think the tendercrisp they have now is a different sandwich from when it first launched.

/shrug That is what their full menu said, but I see on a page for the tendercrisp what you're saying.
Tendercrisp Chicken Sandwich | BURGER KING®vs
https://www.bk.com/pdfs/nutrition.pdf
Also, upon further inspection of the picture in the first link it is most certainly a different sandwich from when it first launched. It used to be a whole chicken breast, in the picture is some uniform chicken patty and the bun looks a lot smaller. So I can not say if it is or is not a good chicken sandwich, but I bet it sucks compared to the old one. I believe they revamped it because people put pressure on them about serving a 1,000 calorie sandwich.

It's been a few months since I've had one, but unless that's a really recent revision that's just a picture that's not representative of reality.

(Talking Marchish - had the bacon cheddar one)

I've had some terribad experiences there, but also some really great ones. The burgers are pretty good, better than McD's or BK or Wendy's for fucking sure. Then they have the drinks and the tots. Chili cheese tots if you're feelin nasty. And the shakes/ice cream is far superior to other places.

Five Guys suffers from not having a drive through, straight up. There have been many times when I have driven farther to go somewhere worse just because either I don't feel like getting out of the car or its late or the kids are with me and being pains in the ass, the convenience factor is huge. If we had a Sonic here, and rumor is we will within the year, I would go there all the time. I find I rarely go to Five Guys even though it is superior, and this is even before my wheat bullshit kicked in.

Wendy's has a better burger than sonic, no question about it

Wendy's is pretty good overall, but the BAD Wendy's locations are fucking unbelievably bad.

If you're ever driving on I-95 through Rhode Island, never, ever, ever, ever, ever eat at the Wendy's off Exit 3.

If you put a Wendy's in the movie Deliverance, that would be it.

Does anyone have bad Chik-fil-a locations? Every one I've been to has been immaculate. Almost always a full master-race staff even.

When I go to Five Guys, and of course have to get out of the car, I make the most out of the trip, since every Five Guys around me when I lived back in Phoenix was next to Chipotle.

Go in and order Five Guys burger.

Walk out and 2 steps over is the Chipotle, order that, and then walk back to Five Guys, and usually then wait a couple minutes and burger is done. Makes the 10+ minutes I always have to wait for Five Guys a little better. And who doesn't like a little corn cilantro salsa on their burger? or some of that Guac? Damn good.

Wendy's is uneven just like Sonic but on the whole I have had better experiences at Sonic and better food. And they don't give you many reasons to go to Wendy's, the fries are subpar, who the fuck actually eats that chili, and the salads are BALLS. and the chicken sandwiches are testably inferior to chik-fil-a. Sonic has tots, onion rings, coneys, tots, shakes, ice cream, tots, toasters, corn dogs, tots, a goddamn plethora of amazing, yet awful, food. A good Sonic is America brought to life. A bad Sonic is soul-crushing.

This is pretty much the only reason I go to Wendy's. In the colder months I probably eat it once every 3 weeks. On the food to dollar ratio. I feel it's a deal. Also you get the same chili every time. No one can really make it right or wrong, or screw up the ingredients.

I actually like Wendy's chili, as far as fast food goes. I just ask for like 5-6 packets of their chili sauce.

Here's what I don't understand about Chick-fil-a. How can they afford to have 20 goddamned people standing behind the register taking orders/filling orders/manning the drivethru. Theres so many damn employees they can barely move. When I go through the drivethru there's like 5 people working the 1 window. How in the hell can they pull that off and make any money when my local Wendy's/McDonalds/Burger King has 1 slow as hell doofus working the window and maybe 1 or 2 other people inside helping customers. Chik-fil-a easily has 3x the employees as a normal fast food restaurant. Same with Jimmy Johns vs Subway/Quiznos/any other sub shop. There's like 8 people making sandwiches at a Jimmy Johns, and you're lucky if you ever see more than 2 at a Subway.

I appreciate the speedy service, but something weird is going on there, I can't see how those places pay so many extra employees and stay in business.

They charge more for less (quantity wise).
