I really don't know where the Arby's is around here but I assume we have one. I used to eat at them a lot in college. 5 roast beefs for $5 or 5 beef and chedder or whatever they were called for $5. I'm guessing they have gone up now.
the 5 for $5 is long gone around here. First it changed to 5 for $5.95, then it became "choose 5 items from our value menu for $5.95", then they took away the beef and cheddar option, and it was regular roast beef only, now it's completely gone.

Going to Iowa for a few days, was going to hit Zombie Burger on my flight out unless there is some other place I should try near DSM airport. Any other must haves in the area?

The commercial I saw last night made it sound like it was a brand new menu item.

That 5 for 5 deals were so good. Even as they got slightly worse over time. It was still a helluva deal.

I've never seen a lot of overly attractive waitresses at a big chain restaurant (Applebees, Chilis, Fridays, etc) unless they are in a big college town. If you're in a huge college town, EVERYWHERE has attractive waitresses. He'll you'd get hot chicks making your sub at Subway. I miss college sometimes...
hot chicks literally everywhere was one of the best things about living in a town with a major university. there'd even be babes working the late night fast food windows at 3AM on a tuesday.

I went to college of 15k people in a town of 30k including students. You ran into hot girls no matter where you went at any time including 4am at Whatburger. They really didn't have the aspect of people you see nowdays on the internet with the throw downs at a fast food place between customers and workers. Feel cheated.

for awhile i worked the Taco Bell drive thru in a college town with approximately the same numbers as the one you went to, Thursday through Sunday night 7PM to 5AM. it was absolutely insane. i went to Central Michigan University, a notorious party school. the other main attraction in town was Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort, one of the biggest casino/resorts east of the Mississippi.

used to do 300-400 orders per shift on the weekends where we had a home football/basketball game. i exchanged free food for tits three times. was handed liquor/weed to drink/smoke through the drive thru window countless times. (i knew where the cameras were there, there's a spot where the drive thru guy can lean out the window a hair and not be on camera)

was actually a really fun job aside from the fact that it killed my weekend social life. to this day i'm still friends with some of my old regulars.

Heh, although its not been a consideration for me - living next door to TSU (Towson State) in Maryland and now living next door to Coach Beach/Ron Jon territory never ran into the "hideous worker" stereotype - worst thing has been ethnicities that don't suit my fancy, but the hot factor has always been reasonable where ever I go. Not that being tied down for decades it matters, but still...

Yeah I went to a state university where parents from Dallas and Houston sent their kids to school to get their grades up so they could go to UT or A&M lol. I was 23 when I started, good times. I could buy alcohol haha.

TSU is exceptionally ridiculous though, not a Playboy reader, but from what people always said it was labeled as "the best university for guys" or some such.

This isn't fast food related per se, but nothing better than mothafuckin freeze pops right now. I haven't had them since I was a kid and it's nice to see green apple is pretty standard in a lot of them now.

Introduced my 2 year old to Otter Pops this summer. He fucking LOVES them. Of course, any kid would. I did as a kid.

I never knew there were named brand freezer pops. As recently as Sunday I have always had the no named ones without any clear packaging (i.e, just clear tubes filled with liquid). Then again Im a freezer pop mooch and in my 30+ years on this earth I have never once bought them myself.

They sell otter pops at Walmart I think, it's god tier compared to the no name ones (which are still great)

I just need to find the fucking asshole that thought putting coconut freeze pops in the bag was a great idea
