Most overseas McD's are way, way nicer than here. I think it's a combination of a few factors:
1) Overseas most McD's are newer, so by default they're going to be cleaner/nicer
2) McD's is an American product (i.e., foreign for them), so it's viewed as something a little more special than how we think about it
3) In a lot of countries overseas, they don't have nearly as strong a stigma against working in fast food as we do. Here it's literally a job that some people would never due purely from a pride standpoint, whereas in a lot of other countries it's a solid job. This is also probably connected to wage and cost of living in the countries.
I think all that combines to result in better service, better food quality, and better presentation like in the above picture.
