BK fries never recovered from that atrocity years ago when they changed the fries and put some weird batter on them

Borzak please enlighten us on the state of remoulade in southern fast food
I don't think we use the term remoulade to mean the same thing. From wiki. I've never really hard anyone talk of putting remoulade on something as a condiment in itself, and for sure doesn't look like the pics I saw when I googled it to see if we were on the same page. I've never seen it in fast food, ever.

While the classic white remoulade is a condiment that can be offered in a variety of contexts (e.g. the classic celery root remoulade), Creole remoulade is used on shrimp, crabs, fried calamari, artichokes, and fried green tomatoes among other foods.
I don't know of any place that has it as a condiment per se. In fact I looked online at tworesataurants which are very cajun/coon assy and not "upscale" and the only mention of remoulade is in a salad, shrimp remoualde salad ($10), or availble to add to calamari.

On the topic of sweet potatos I love them fried, in slices but not like a french fry. I have never had that. But I still eat the "old fashioned" way eating a good portion of my meals with my grandmother who is 94 and my mother who is 71 who still cook what a lot of people would call soul food. We just call it food.

Now I'm hungry after looking at those two menus and it will be a week or more before I can go to either and eat. One is 20 miles from town and literally the only thing at the exit on the water, and it's the only exit for 20 miles in either direction and stays packed. Not fancy but now I'm drooling. Good enough I had my appointments in New Orleans changed to Thursday or Friday since they aren't open on M-W.

Sad days indeed.

There was a restaurant here that has now shut down that served delicious sweet potato fries. It came with a side sauce for dipping that was melted down marshmellow + cinnamon.

It's well established that Noodle has terrible opinions on food. People should really stop arguing with him and just remember that everything he says is wrong.

I used to eat lunch at a place where the sweet potato fries came with butter, honey, and malt vinegar. They were great.

Hes diabetic. Growing up I knew a diabetic who was also albino and put mayonnaise on his hot dogs. I bet they're all the same.

Got my free crunch wrap this morning. Taco Bell marketing has succeeded as I am officially a convert. I'd probably take it over McDonald's breakfast but that's after just one try. Will probably hit up 2 more taco bells in the next hour to continue testing.

I was pumped to do it - gives me an excuse to get out earlier, but with my car in the shop... sad times... =(

Not worth $20 doing a taxi to get a free one. Hah.

There used to be this Peruvian food truck that would stop in front of the office two days a week. They had really good sweet potato fries with this interesting dip. I have no idea what it was. It was a pinkish cream. But that shit was good. I don't think I've ever had good sweet potato fries anywhere else.
