Think it was just shy of 20 yrs ago here. I remember it was during the days I was working at Babbage's still, rocking my Dodge Omni. (The car built so well, the idiot who rearended me at a light only had a crack in his one headlight, while the entire rear wheel well was pushed into the Left Rear tire - and mind you it was a sports car that hit me, not like an SUV)
The Rodeo Burger was the best thing BK ever had. I was devastated when they pulled it from the menu.
A quick google search says its back along with a rodeo chicken sandwich..... I'm intrigued.

Actually no. I've seen a difference in 3 states I've been to that has them. Must be something top down they hire people who can actually speak english and act like they want to be there. Black or not.

The hire largely from christian charity work from what I've seen. If not there's alot of weird overlap. And plenty of black folks work for them in Maryland - not seen any in Florida though.
Yeah like Ancient said. It is still fast food so it is pretty easy to have a "my way or the highway" approach and just hire/train someone new but in the case of Canes/Chik they pay more so they can demand a certain level of customer service you can't reasonably expect if you're paying minimum wage. I've encountered plenty of black people working at Canes and Chik-Fil-A and what Bozark said holds true for them and every employee there. They are well spoken, they are nice, they don't act like they're doing you a favor by working there and they overall seem happy to be there. I'm willing to pay an extra buck for my meal for this service.

I always get one beef chalupa and one chicken chalupa and then regret eating whatever one I ate first for not saving it for second. Fuck, chalupas are awesome.
I went to Chik-Fil-A today, they were so damn polite and welcoming in the drive thru that the shit actually caused me to go leave positive feed back for them in a survey. The only way that experience was better was if the girl gave me a handy.

BK does have Rodeo burgers, sometimes off menu sometimes not. I remember them as being awesome as hell, but occasionally I get the "jr." version which consists of bun, burger, sauce, onion rings. It's pretty bad, honestly. They need to add cheese or more sauce or something to give it more flavor or texture or SOMETHING. The Jr. versions are just super dry.
The long sriracha burger is kinda good. Imagine a whopper, but with sriracha. Voila!
The Chik-Fil-A's I went to had all white staff at the new location in the hood and the drive-thru worker at the older upper scale area location was a young black woman.

Got one of those newspaper/coupon flyer things in the mail the other day that I typically just throw right into the trash. I decided to look at it and by god, it had Chick-Fil-A coupons. One of which was for a free peppermint shake with any sandwich purchase. So got my spicy chicken deluxe today and told them I had the coupon. Get up to the window and it was a large peppermint shake for free, gal said the coupon is supposed to be for a small, but they accidentally made a large so have it anyways.
