The only good thing at Taco Bell for breakfast is the AM crunchwrap. Everything else is crap.

So I've been really digging on Panda Express lately. No idea why, but after probably a 2 year break, I started going there a lot, and I'm loving it! I think they rape you with some of the items costing an additional 1.25, but it is still really good.
I love their chow mein

What do you generally get? I eat there quite a bit because I work near one and I sometimes get a discount. I'm really torn. I believe I posted here before how their Kung Pao Chicken meat is basically just gristle and fat, so I stopped getting that. My favorite is the Teriyaki Chicken (because it's an actual chicken breast that they cut in front of you) and, when I feel like getting my fat on, the Sweet Fire Chicken.

One of the highlights of my day is drinking the teriyaki sauce after I finish the chicken, and then eating the deliciously sweet fortune cookie. One time I ate the fortune cookie before the meal and it ruined my whole day.
Always their Chow Mein to start. Always.

Then it's a toss up between the steak and mushroom (+$1.25), bejing beef (crispy beef? hell ya!!), orange chicken, or terriyaki chicken.

I'm a damn fatty, and usually get 3 item combo, or 2 item + eggroll/cream cheese puffs. I agree though the teriyaki chicken is really good.

I'm on a mission to figure out how they make their Chow Mein so I can replicate it at home. It's so good.

My Panda Express order was always Orange Chicken, Beijing Beef, and Sweet and Sour chicken. I think they got rid of the orange chicken near me but they just made a spicy version of it and renamed it.

if you have a teriyaki madness near you should try that (or similar fast teriyaki places), they put crack or something in their food that makes it way, way better than panda express. spicy chicken is to die for, and food is usually ready to go in under 5 mins and made to order.

Mongolian BBQ near me is unlimited teriyaki for like $10 or something including all the extra shit you throw in the bowl. I usually throw some pineapple in that bitch and it's GG for about 5 bowls.

We just lost all of our Quiznos in town. I just saw an article about the company filing for bankruptcy. Bummer.

Serves them right for having actual ovens in their establishments. Should have just tossed a microwave in there a la Subway and called it a day.

I feel sad for you if you think anything served at panda express is good, just about any and every mom and pop chinese place down here is 1000x better. We just got a panda express a couple of years ago and after I ate there I realized why.

Most mom and pop chinese places are shit because they assume that every American that orders food wants it all to taste like sweet and sour whatever. The chinese place closest to our house, Sweet and Sour and Orange chicken are the same, Sesame chicken is sweet and sour chicken with sesame seeds, and general tso's chicken is sweet and sour chicken with a couple dry chili's and green peppers thrown in.

If I have Americanized-Asian anything I prefer Thai because at least the flavors are distinguishable and not just globs of gelatinous "sauce" overtop chicken nuggets.

Man I love chinese food but that shit is expensive if you buy it for a family. I remember my dad asking me to pick some up that he ordered and I went "nah, I got it" when he tried to offer me money. $120 later and I regretted my decision.

Our local Chinese place seems to only want to sell the buffet. If you order something off the menu that is on the buffet it actually costs more than getting the buffet and they just go over to the buffet and scoop the stuff onto a plate and charge you extra for it. Bizarre.

I imagine most of the chinese places do this. I do love some mothafuckin chinese food though

The mom and pop Chinese places around me taste no different than Panda Express. At least I see them cutting vegetables and cooking meat at Panda Express. I wouldn't be surprised if half the mom and pop places just heated up frozen shit in the kitchen. Bunch of food elites up in here, with their "pip-pip what-what mom and pop whatever > chain" tuxedo and monocle wearing arrogant asses.
