Tots are usually a superior substitute. Tochos are way better than nachos.

The only thing edible at Sonic are the Tots (with Fry Sauce dip), corn dogs, and the Drinks. When they try to do actual food, they fuck it up something terrible.

This is the only regional fast food we have here that is better than any other part of the country. Taco John's is basically an inferior version of Taco Bell in every way except one. They have mastered the art of tater tots or potato ole's as they call them.

Taco Time has those ole style tots but they are stuffed with jalepeno cheese.

Potato ole are just flat tots, but what makes them so good other than being deep fried, is the seasoning. Worked at a combo good times/taco John's in college for a year.

Everyone working there would take the seasoning home for other users. People asked for it on their fries. Made a great combo with good times fry sauce. I forget the name but they had one or two items I'd say were also better than taco Bell.

Taco Johns is perfect for people who "like Mexican food" and also think Taco Bell is too spicy.

That being said, the super potato oles justify the existence of the entire chain.

The only place I have ever had disappointing tots was Dunkin Donuts. They serve hash browns with their breakfast meals, which are basically just tots almost exactly like the ones pictured above from Taco John's. Except they are flavored with ass extract or something. Fucking gross.

Every town in West Texas seemed to have these small burger joints that would serve amazing tots, burgers, etc. I haven't seen that outside of that area, must be a holdover from 50s-70s coupled with the large geographic separations or something. Those places are always worth it, though.

Dunkin Donuts food is generally pretty terrible.

Their breakfast sandwiches are what they are. But they at least aren't terrible tasting. Their hash browns are fucking gross, though. The fact that they have a lab somewhere with chefs and scientists working on flavors and THAT is the best they came up with, it really shows you what is wrong with American ingenuity.

I prefer Dunkin Donuts to Krispy Kreme for donuts, those are the only chain donut places we have. I like a bready donut.

People who get actual food (i.e., sandwiches, wraps, etc.) at coffee places like Dunkin' Donuts or Starbucks are fundamentally broken individuals. If you need breakfast that badly, swing by a McDs drive thru and get some real breakfast.

I had to provide donuts for a small professional workshop over the weekend. I went to Dunkin Donuts to get two boxes of 50 munchkins, but they only had enough for one box. So I went into a nearby grocery store and grabbed a few boxes of Entenemann's or whatever shitty donut holes. I poured the DD and store-bought ones all into a big bowel and mixed them together. No one could tell the difference.

Dunkin Donuts are essentially storebought donuts, they ship them there frozen from their dark and terrible catacombs where Lovecraftian horrors shit out dough in their eternal slumber, so you may as well go with whatever is cheaper. And Entemann's is as good as anything else.

So yesterday for Mother's Day I got myself a bag each of these bad boys and ate them together:

The alternated eating handfuls of the hot ones with handfuls of the sweet funnel cake ones. That combination of spicy + sweet was amazing. A++ do recommend this combination.

Jalapeno burger from Carl's Jr is excellent. Only $2.50 also. Perfect spiciness. Santa fe sauce is amazing.

You gotta post the picture of how it looked before you got all your nasty chew and bite marks all over it.

1. Take picture
2. Eat burger
3. Post picture, tell how burger was

Had Chick-fil-A today. #3 nuggets and a #7 grilled chicken club. I swear to god I got out and started praying after eating it.
Jesus save meh. It's been about a year since I had it, holy not cow that was good. The waffle fries were even good and not sticks burnt to a crisp as I've had from other places recently.
The only neg was ouch $11 bucks.

chick fil a waffle fries are consistently some of the best waffle fries i've had driving down the east coast. Again my only bad experience w/ chick fil a was the one manned by obama sons.
