Do you mean Cocoichiban? カレーハウスCoCo壱番屋 It's not bad. The other main chain is GoGo curry. GoGo curry has a 2500 yen giant curry challenge too if you're in the mood for that kind of thing.

The best curry is the one you make yourself though!
Edit: The Japanese says it's 1.5kg of rice, one roast cutlet, one chicken cutlet, four weiners, one hard boilted egg, 2 tempura shrimp, then there's the shredded cabbage and the actual curry ladled onto everything.
godspeedAbout to go try Shake Shack for the first time, will report back.

I had this shit when I visited my brother in Okinawa. The fact they call this "curry" is a travesty. It's like powdered packets added to water to make a watery "curry" gravy. Go visit Thailand or India and shop around for curry and get back to me Japan bros.
Thai Massaman curry is the king of foods. Indian curry is a close second. Japanese curry, of curries, is easily the worst. That being said, you can't compare the three, they are totally different, and your bad curry experience (especially in Okinawa, which we have established, is hardly Japan) was probably an outlier. Good Japanese curry is perfectly delicious.
I literally went to the one in your link. "CoCo" is a chain of curry restaurants in Japan and they have a couple locations in Okinawa.
It's just watery curry gravy. They literally sell the packets of dry powdered ingredients that you add to boiling water.

Sure, there may be some interesting curry houses but as a whole the Japanese variation of curry is nowhere near as refined and complex as Indian or Thai style.
I agree. I don't understand your point. Are you just trying to bash on Japanese curry because someone here said they enjoy it?
...
Also the Zinger was bland and the sauce sucked, if I ordered again it would be with no lettuce, and drenched in BBQ sauce and/or hot sauce.
Na.. it was the mentality of my brother and friends really. They were raving about this place like the coming of Jesus or something and it was basically the only "curry" anyone had ever tasted in their lives. It was literally white rice on a plate with a fried chicken cutlet with powdered curry gravy water slathered on top. That's pretty bottom tier, even for us fast food connoisseurs!
