I worked in a Warehouse for 15 years basically lifting boxes and bags weighing up to 100 pounds. Never at any point did I not crave fast food or soda. I think just for the fact that you make the step to work out and become more healthy is what lowers the craving for junk food and not just the activity itself.

A friend of mine from high school was a candidate for soldier of the year and had one of the top PT test scores in the entire US Army, and he used to wash down a bag full of double whoppers with a protein smoothie for lunch almost every day. He basically ate all the healthy shit AND the full McCheese diet concurrently. He did not drink soda. He drank milk by the fucking gallon even on a hot summer's day. Seriously, it was gross, we used to work at a kayak rental place and he would down an entire gallon of milk while hauling kayaks around in 90+ degree weather.

One thing I will say the more you work out the less you crave Soda, and fast food. Maybe not for everybody, but most people I've seen mention that after they have gotten back into a healthier lifestyle

I'm not sure why that is, but your body just seems to want better things to fuel it.
After starting my lifestyle change I just don't want fast food because it tastes like crap mostly and its hardly filling. McDonalds and Taco Bell made me feel ill the last times I had them; was just on a long road trip so we stopped at wendy's, got nuggets and fries and immediately regretted eating the fries, my tongue was numb after there was so much salt on them. So it wasn't so much the working out, it was just the knowing what nutritional food tastes like. Working out does make turning that doughnut down easier though. Thinking you'd have to ride a bike 2 hours to burn off that one doughnut makes the choice a lot easier.

Why do you have to burn off the donut? Do you burn off the cup of rice you eat for lunch?

Fit it into your daily macros, it ain't that hard bruh.

"I work out so healthy food tastes better." What in the fuck. I work out so I can put anything in my goddamn mouth I want at any time. Food OR dongs. IT'S MY CHOICE!

I'm pretty sure that any desire for "healthier" food is psychological. Just get the extra spicy burrito so you diarrhea out all the calories, it's a win win.

Do any of you fast food nutritionists have any comments on diet pop? I tend to drink 2-3 cans of diet pop a day, but I heard that it is supposed to mess up your bodies response to calories because it's sweet? Tell me that it's bullshit so I can feel good again.

The theory is that diet soda makes your body expect calories coming in, and then when it doesn't get it, makes you hungrier so you'll acquire more calories, or starts ramping down your metabolism thinking something is wrong.

It sounds kinda like bullshit though.

That's what I was thinking. It sounds like if you eat like a normal person and drink diet pop you're fine.

I prefer coke zero over regular coke, which is the only pop I really drink. Though any other diet pop tends to taste pretty bad.

I had beer battered onion rings at Hardee's today. They were better than expected, your results may vary.
