I can live with the changes to the origin. That has to happen with any reboot , and especially changing medium into TV. Wife and I both thought this was solid, but we also watched this back when it leaked. Nice of them to go ahead and start the "metahuman" references.... Although saying the particle accelerator causing all the metahumans is horribly close to how kyrptonite mysteriously caused all those "freak of the week" superpowered individuals on Smallville.

Really enjoyed it, the guy playing him is pretty great for the roll of a young Barry Allen I think. It's got the typical cheese and "oh come ON" moments you get with any CW show, but nothing too egregious.
HOWEVAH! The mutual "Cools" with him and Arrow was so gay I had to go punch a bear and kick down a sequoia just to un-queer myself for having seen it.
That was a very short role for Armand Assante.

yeah. I am really not a fan of the "insert other superhero here" gave me my name and the idea. They did that shit on Smallville too. Which was REALLY lame as they did the same shit. Green fucking arrow, invented the Justice league, and even was the inspiration for Superman, who was an emo bitch for 10 seasons before being quilted into it bey Arrow.

When recounting the "my mom was killed by a superhuman" story, Barry did not mention he had been searching for superhumans, on his own show. (and found some on Starling City). Felt weird for that part to be cut out.
And then yeah, Arrows only comment is "cool". And that silly speech about being chosen. As opposed to "holy shit dude".
