Supergirl has to be from a different earth because Superman is alive in her timeline.

To head everyone about to dogpile on Chuk off at the pass, with the amount of media coverage dedicated to Superman and Supergirl in their respective cities, which would immediately spill over to the world because superheroes are real!, it would be impossible for Diggle not to have seen them in action, and eventually be unsurprised by what they could do, even if it was just on television. The vast majority of people in Metropolis and National City wouldn't have seen them anywhere except on TV too, same as Diggle.

seeing something on tv and in person are 2 different things. if you see news footage of a 4 alarm fire and people running for their lives and firemen trying to put out the blaze and save babies at the same time, you look curiously perhaps. imagine that is the house 2 doors down from you and you see all that unfold right in front of your face. its a hell of a jolt. its why i said unless diggle was in metropolis then he probably never saw supes in action, not that he never saw supes in action on fricken tv. people still geek out over celebs they meet IRL who dont even have superpowers.
