In the New 52, Vibe is powerful enough to destroy the Earth in quakes, and can cut off the speed force to a speedster just by looking at him. I don't think they are going to power him up that much.

goddamn that was a geek explosion. they fucking had me at Supergirl then i went into overload over Bruce, Hal and Diana on Barry's speed dial. this show is so awesome. i was numb for the remainder of the episode. goddamn Zoom is like an unstoppable monster at this point. i dunno how they can stop him without doing something gay like unspeeding him with velocity 6. if they uberpower barry's uberspeed then that would put him in fucking god mode. this is going to be tough.
IMO Zoom is the future of Jay on earth 1 as Hunter Zolomon. Something happens in that timeline that we haven't seen yet.
Also, I don't think Zoom is the end boss. There is another. I believe Reverb wasn't talking about himself, and wasn't lying about Zoom isn't the one pulling the strings.
The other thing is he has to let Barry go. He needs him to get faster, and he can't do that if he has him locked up.

As for the Identity of Zoom...I do believe we have seen most of the characters from the shows doppelgangers now with the exception of Henry Allen...whom they did mention in this episode. I was also thinking Hunter Zolomon / Earth 1 Jay was Zoom but I'm thinking that was more of a red herring the show writers threw out knowing the comic book fans would know the story and jump on it

lots of people claiming zoom is wally west ala daniel west. i dunno, joe or iris did not mention anything about having a brother. perhaps its a mirror of earth1 before joe's wife came back into the picture.

I think Prof Stein died with Ronnie, yes. Who was the man in the Iron Mask in Zooms Lair? looked like an older man and seemed to be tapping Morse Code

There is just a huge list for each.. which pretty much includes everyone ever mentioned in the show, or not..

Eddie in the mask is a good bet. Although hes not mentioned as being missing, particularly if Barry/Iris know him in E2 too.
E2 Barry has a supervillian origin coming on. E1 barry tases him. steals his life. has sex with his wife. Gets his father-in-law killed. Then is going to release Eddie, who will then also cock block him and have an affair with Iris.
