A bit of an old thread but the wife and I just binge watched this series last week and absolutely loved it! The writing, the acting, the cinematography are all exceptional. And Episode 6 is a true masterpiece. Overall, it’s a little light in the horror element but that’s nitpicking. Otherwise a 10/10.
We also binged some other shows by Mike Flanagan, Bly Manor and Midnight Mass. All are quite different from each other but share some common elements, such as the concept of death. Would recommend all as worth the time to watch.
We’re now halfway through one of his latest works, the Fall of the House of Usher, which if nothing else, has a significantly more sexual tone to it. Still unsure how I’d rate it but want to see it through to the end before I give it a rating.
