So, did Velious access dragons, garudon and wieder on inny. Not sure what else to do except grinding AAs.
Damage is a big issue now as a pal,shm,mag. I hope a few hundred AAS will do the job.

Divine Avatar + Battle Frenzy + Harm Touch. Burns about 70% of the hp, then the crit procs finish it off.

Yeah, the spawned version was a cake walk. I keep way overestimating bosses on this server.

Right now, I just don't find Clr all that useful in the setup. It's basically JUST for the hammer and that's just a product of the era having a lot of "meh" weapons.

Do SHDs still get access to spell crit AAs? That's the only thing I think I might miss. But the sustain isn't coming from Cleric at all, it's all from weapon procs and battle frenzy.

Yes SHD gets Spell casting Fury and Fury of Magic. the hammer and the "every spell/proc is a crit" AA is the main reason to go cleric at this point which combined with RoRZ from warrior lets you do some big burst dmg from procs.

I need to do velious flag on my dude but i've been too lazy to get the fearless AAs to deal with dragons for now, plus doing all these chardok B quests for loot before they are worthless on bazaar.

Sure, but does that burst really outpace what a SHD brings with his taps, tap disc, HT, etc.?

I don't know, I feel like CLR just seems so wasted in the setup and will probably only get worse as the game works through expacs. It seems like the meta is just blasting stuff down before you run out of life and CLR doesn't seem to really add enough sustain in this era to makeup the lost DPS. With sympathetic healing items, you can easily sustain off BST heals, SHD taps, etc. it seems.

The cleric part of the build is really only used for buffs, undead nukes, and the hammer which is also given to my SK pet. It seems that casting spells lowers my overall dps by delaying auto attacks and proc.

cleric is mainly used in the war and/or bst proc build. cleric has battle frenzy aa to force spell crits, and multiple DA's to help bunch up pulls. plus it gives access to better spell dmg gear. for most other builds the hammer would be the selling point, its not out classed for awhile because of the proc mods, and the resist mods on the proc, especially now that you cant dw cleric epics

Oh, I’m dumb. When you guys keep saying a class adds spell dmg you’re just referring to the gear adding it for your melee procs right?

sorry I’m a 9-5 dad and can’t keep up with these here games like I used to !

Feel like not having CLR in my SHD/CLR/Rogue build would have made soloing VP much harder. Tons of debuffs where Purify AA was key and having a big heal in divine light + symp heal being an almost guaranteed complete heal from low hp was clutch in getting it done.

You don’t necessarily need the fearless AA. I thought I had it when I did the 4 dragons for velious flag and not until I did Trakanon did I realize I never actually purchased the AA. Guess I never clicked the button. Depending on your class makeup you might not even get feared (I don’t remember it happening until Trak did his blind fear and that’s how I knew since my screen went black).

What ChardokB quests are you talking about that are worth doing? I’m grinding AA there on undead right now at 55 so might as well do some quests…

So I have a proc on my weapon and if put augment procs in them does it mess with the weapon proc at all? Also if I add the same augment on the weapon does it combine or does each proc separately? Just wondering sice I ha e a bow with 2 weapon augment proc on it and a proc that comes with the weapon already.

Well I already went ahead and bought fearless and killed the 4 dragons last night so whoops.

I did the black enchanted amulet and golem heart ring quests. I also got all the pieces for the VP druushk quest but when I went to turn it in I lost them all because you have to be allied to ring of scale.

There's one more quest "forge sword" for a cloak but I'm on the part where I need blood from chardok A.

Basically all the quests are collect 4 of something. Pages from the dinos, staffs from the dudes, gems from the ghosts, sword parts, etc. The body part one you only collect 3 parts but that is the one you turn in in VP but need rep with ring of scale.

I sold the black enchanted amulet for 12k. Golem heart ring was worth 25k when I started but was down to around 10 by the time I got the pieces so I kept it to use myself.

I'm not sure the VP quests are in, that is GoD content (known as VP 2.0). If that were in then the VP dragons would be much harder and drop different loot. I know the quest items are dropping, but even if you had RoS faction they wouldnt accept it. Yea I jsut confirmed that, quests/veeshan at main · The-Heroes-Journey-EQEMU/quests you can see in the quest repo there are files called OLD108040.pl... the 108040 is the ID of the NPC, I can see the VP2.0 quest right here, but since the file has the word OLD in it, it does not actually link to npcid 108040, so it will not work.

that seems odd since the reward for that quest is a mask that is equivalent to/only slightly better than Eye of Cazic Thule which is from vanilla launch, why would GoD loot be so terrible?
