So yeah was watching another stream today when the dev popped in and pretty much confirmed 4 months of PoP. But they are doing up a hardcore/self found mode plus the dungeon finder in the mean time.

Ugh. 8 weeks of PoP I can understand because it's a fairly large xpac and probably the "peak" of EQ, but 16 weeks?

It's going to kill a lot of interest and hurt the playerbase enough that by the time GoD comes around, nobody is going to care and it'll be a, "See! GoD sucks!!".

I can only assume they need more time to work on GoD content, but the fact they are doing the hardcore server during that time period makes me wonder.

He said the HC/SSF shit is already done, SO IDK why it would take them more time to implement? Maybe they need to thoroughly test it? Who the fuck knows. Its not going to be on a separate server either. The dungeon finder thing could be cool if the rewards are good. I dont see myself running that shit for skins aside a few runs to test it. Also I cant see being in a tight ass vanilla dungeon with 5 pet cucks. Thats like 10-15 fucking pets! And we all know how this server loves its pet cucks. Im betting its like at least 1/2 the server playing them. He said they are not going to start GOD content until those 2 things are done, SSF/HC and dungeon finder.

I just think they want to drag this shit out as slow as possible at this point. Im betting the first weekend of PoP many people will already have that shit on farm mode. Ive heard that if you know what you are doing you can get PoP flags done in like 8-10 hrs. So in all likelihood PoP time will be on farm mode when the weekend ends. There is no reason NOT to rush through it since if youre Luclin VT geared, youre not going to see any meaningful upgrades until elemental planes+. Yeah there might be a few pieces you score here and there, but overall its the POP end game that will have the upgrades.

PoP also isn't that significantly hard, either. We already had upgraded BB able to be killed in Velious gear and he's roughly a PoP Time tier boss.

Will be interesting, if all the "Bonus" content is like hard Seru and there is one clear cut meta that's always easy mode farm it's DoA.

I've finally finished my two mains with all the Legendary augs I plan on farming. I have a Rng/Brd/Shm and Pal/Brd/Enc. I generally duo with a friend so they were initially built with that in mind. The Ranger set has solo'd Seru 2/4 and the Pal has solo'd Seru 4/4. Ranger is great DPS, not as big a burst that the Clr version can reach, but since fights are starting to get longer than 2 minutes he has way better steady DPS and a lot more utility. The Pal set is virtually unkillable. When I started to use him to tank Seru before he had anywhere near finished with his gear I could stand there and tank as the rest of the group died, returned, rebuffed, and continued the fight. He doesn't rely on taps to heal, has almost unlimited mana, and has ALL the runes. He also isn't bad at DPS with the Doppelgangers in consideration. It isn't great, but it is a solid middling. I'm looking forward to testing him on the custom encounters they start to put out for PoP. One of the rumoured encounters is The Fabled Lord Nagafen, at level 80 he would rip through anyone who isn't built to tank him.

I keep seeing this on screenshots but forget to ask, how do you increase the stat cap to 400+? I only see Planar Power, which takes it to 330.

You have to have the orange heroic stats on legendary gear

NM certain class aa let's you do extra stats on top of the 330. Just don't know the exact classes that let's you do it

Not sure WTF its from, lol. Prob AA of some kind.. I know my SK/ROG/SHM has some at 400 too, I think WIS and INT.

Healers Everyone gets an AA to increase wis/int cap to 380, but I don't see shit other than that on any class listed on this page.

Everyone of my characters looks like this (or 330 for all):

QuickEdit: My MNK/Wiz/BST gets Innate Enlightenment (the wis/int increase), even though it says (CLR DRU SHM)

I keep seeing this on screenshots but forget to ask, how do you increase the stat cap to 400+? I only see Planar Power, which takes it to 330.
For the Ranger combo, the Shaman AA Rabid Bear, Ancestral Aid, and Union of Spirits all have stat cap increases while running. Echo of Power also has a stat cap increase based off …. some internal measurement that may or may not be broken at the moment.
