How is the DLC? Finished the main game and loved every second of it. With my new "Upstairs in the bedroom with Headphones" set up with my old PS3, I was thinking of just grabbing the DLC. On the fence with the PS4 version but it may be worth it for a full run through again with the DLC in High Def in a much bigger gaming space.

The story DLC was pretty good. Same quality as the main game, if a bit short. If you enjoyed the story, I would recommend it.

Yeah I loved the story. I could google this but I am lazy today. Is there only one story based DLC? If so, it would make more sense for me to just purchase that and play it on PS3 rather than purchase the remastered edition. If there are two DLC stories however, it might make sense to drop the extra cash on a better experience and play through the whole thing again.

Ok I'll just grab that then off the PS3 PSN Store and play through it. Multiplayer DLC means little to me.

Target is paying $20 for TLOU PS3. imo its worth it to trade it in and just buy the PS4 version next week for $50 ($40 at bestbuy with GCU), target and BB will also run deals on TLOU I'm sure next week.

The graphics and visuals are obviously better, but also the PS3 version runs at 30fps while the PS4 version will run at 60 fps.

How much is the unlocked 2 year of Best Buy GCU? I cannot find the cost anywhere on their site. I have signed up for the free one.

Ok well that seals it. I will do that then. The DLC on amazon is $14.99 for the single player piece of DLC. Pay 9.99 to upgrade the entire thing to my PS4 at that point is a no brainer.

(Shit this means I have to step inside a Gamestop. Tarrant. Let's meet for a beer and you go in instead for me. I'll buy the beer.)

Word. I had PSN credit, so I used it to buy the digital copy, but digital buyers always get hosed on the promos.

Turns out I am screwed. I thought I bought the box version. Last night I was cruising through some downloads to re-download X-Com and grab Dead Space 3, and realized I bought the digital version of TLOU afterall. They should really have a trade up offer. Get the PS4 version if you own the digital PS3 version for $19.99 or something (Realizing it comes with DLC)

They said they were looking at something like this, but it completely fell off the radar. I won't be buying digital due to this.

That would be surprising if they didn't do that.. Theres quite a few games that offered it already, naughty dog is just dickish if they don't do that as well.
I already got the PS3 version for free, i'd totally pay $20 to get a PS4 version for the woman to eventually play lol

The original looked so good that without a side-by-side it's not that jarringly better. Really a testimony to how insanely good it looks on PS3.

But it does look incredible and I'm looking forward to grabbing it next Friday or so digital. (Got some MTGO stuff to do that's gonna eat up most of my free time this week I think)

And I don't know, I can definitely tell a stark difference, especially in terms of overall image quality Vaclav. I mean, again, it's a remaster, not a remake, so you can't really expect leaps and bounds in terms of differences to begin with. Just essentially the original, but way better. And I think they delivered that in spades. And again, seeing it in its full glory at 60 fps is going to be something else, I imagine.

"Immersion factor" is a good point, if I'm getting what you're saying. I always heard people complaining about the "horrible framerate" or the "massive amounts of jaggies" in the game, but to be honest, in my first playthrough, without those things having been pointed out to me by a third party, I didn't actually register them. The game felt perfectly smooth to me, and looked pretty crisp as well.

That being said, those things are definitely there, though. Including some relatively bad texture quality as well. Just some example that I could find:

The PS3 version was awesome, but the textures in those shots are clearly much better/higher res.
