This was exactly my thought. I was trying to force myself to finish the first one (at the point where you go meet the crazy weapon guy) because everyone told me how powerful the ending would be to me now that I have kids. I was really not going to read the spoilers until I started seeing how they ruined the ending of the first game...…. and now I'm out for good.
