They have the Mighty Nein series and also some miniseries. Given the Xerxus stuff I'm guessing they will indeed adapt Calamity for the first of those

Last 3 episodes were meh, Ep 9 was a false climax sort making the following 3 feel hollow. Also, as usual, invalidates what happened earlier in the season. Can't have meaningful consequences in media when there's more seasons to make!

I knew they didn't have the balls, that said I enjoyed the 4th chapter or whatever you want to call it

binged through the season, i mostly enjoyed it although I wish death was a bit more permanent in the show it felt cheap what they did and makes the characters less important. I didn't love the villain-behind-the-villain stuff, I think it could have been done way better.

Most of the episodes felt like solo/duo adventures which sucked, it ruins the whole party D&D vibe of the show. Scanlan's songs really, really sucked this season compared to past seasons.

All in all a solid 6/10, not as good as previous seasons but it basically was a super, super expensive 90s saturday morning kids cartoon with swearing. They leaned way more into relationships vs solid D&D this season which is a bummer. Grog just being a self powered hammer and not much else all season was a bummer.

Yea, I enjoyed up until the main dragons death far more than I did after the main dragons death. Those last 3-4 episodes were just kind of "meh" to me.

It's a show based on a game where it's not super hard to get resurrected.

Yeah I was surprised they took so long. Like, can't the fucking cleric do that? Hell, even bards get a rezz spell.

Well apparently I'm the only super cool guy (read: dweeb) who both remembers the original tabletop session and also watches side content like this:

At 18:30 they address it, and the TLDR is that tabletop Percy did indeed die during the fight with Ripley and was then promptly revivified, no big deal - but they (as TV show runners) decided to stretch that out for a more dramatic impact. Seems they failed on that front, at least with the ol' FoH crew.
