One of the grand masters. I first heard Sad Wings of Destiny in '76 after a buddy brought back about 20 demo copies from LA, plain white sleeve and label with "Demonstration copy not for sale." I saw them in '86 touring Turbo. Thank you for jogging pleasant memories.
Edit: I realize I stated this badly. Mike, my buddy, brought back a car load of albums, 400 in all purchased in bundles of 25. He had the back seat stuffed to the ceiling. By the time we had gone through them all we counted around 20 copies. There were also about 40 copies of Ian Thomas' Good Night Mrs. Calabash, and many other multiples. I recently saw a copy of the Judas Priest demo sell on Ebay for $20, so not even the price of a new vinyl disc.
