Rodents of unusual size? I don't think they exist. What's your next guess? R.O.U.S.?
Anywho, statistics suggest mysterious death by quicksand is a thing. So, not actually a guess.

When they do, and they find the body, the story doesn't go into one of these videos.Okay so these search and rescue groups never once found a patch of obvious quicksand in the area, or a pop up sinkhole, or something similar and put two and two together?
I keep telling you these are interesting because they baffled the search and rescue people.
Back in 38 a 4 year old was hiking with his folks at the base of a mountain name The Devils Nest. The boy disappeared suddenly, though they were hiking single file within arms reach of each other.
A massive search turned up nothing.
The same day he disappeared, another couple were hiking in the area and saw a young boy sitting on a cliff near the top of the mountain, 3000ft up. It's very treacherous terrain to day the least.
These folks watched him get jerked backwards from the cliff but didnt see Who or What jerked him backwards.
His remains were never found.
There are others like this account. These are the ones that are quite puzzling.
Maybe crazy mountain man forest ninja needing a snack?
Lizard peepoleThe other 411 movie has one where a 5 year old wanders off the property. Some farm in Montana or whatever. This kid was found, and survived. He remembers nothing obviously.
Thing is he was found like 10 miles away over rough terrain. Les Stroud, the survivor man, walked the kids suspected route and it took him like 8 hours. Odds of a 5 year old making this trek are basically nil. Can't take a horse on this route because its rough terrain.
Nobody knows how or why but the authorities of course explored the obvious angles. Kidnappers who abandoned their victim? Who knows...
