I didn't know you could stack Schitt that high.
Bro, is that a fucking rice cooker behind your monitor?
Wire box.
I don't know what that is and I'm taking it as disrespect.
Which chips are you referring to? I had a schiit modi with a bad usb chip but the magni seems fine.I liked their stuff until they started using new chips that fail after 6-12 months of use. It was such a hard time to get them replaced I ended up buying other stuff. I hope they realized their mistake and corrected it but I have my doubts.
You can't cook rice in it.i got the bamboo top, cuz you know why

I suspect you encountered the same issue. If you pop the lid off and stick it under a heat lamp/gun/whatever for 5 minutes, it fixes the problem until the next reboot or sleep. I did contact support regarding this, didn't get a replacement. My Modi wouldn't recognize in Windows 11 half the time. The DAC was out of warranty to replace/fix for free. They were easily able to replicate the issue I guess, and sent me a new one free of charge. Customer for life.

Do you happen to know what version you had? The PCB version is printed on it. I think they stopped using that chip in favor of their "Unison USB", whatever that is.
Are you trying to output from the Modi to the Gunnr?
I don't think the Gunnr is supposed to be integrated into a stack. If I understand what you're doing, the Modi will decode digital to analog, then some shitty adapter cable will encode analog back to digital, then the Gunnr will decode digital to analog?

I hope the quality is good. I'd try to avoid extraneous encoding and decoding steps regardless of quality. You're correct. I realized that as soon as I looked at the back of the Gunnar.
And for the record...I didn't buy a shitty adapter cable. I bought a SCHITTY adapter cable.
