Update on the little quadcopter I got a bit ago. Lost one in a tree about 50 plus feet up. Almost got out the chainsaw, instead I got just the copter for like 30 bucks and saw a sale on the full set for the camera one with a slot for a microsd chip. I got that too. The useage for the camera is a bit clunky if you crash it too hard it won't save, but I have gotten a couple videos. Not the greatest but it does look cool as hell overall.
Anyways I was farting around with the cheaper one today and sent it straight up in expert mode, I swear it hit 300 plus feet and I could barely see it when I guess it got out of range/ hit a wind gust. It took off like a bat out of hell from my backyard cross the street over a neighbors house over another neighbor's house and crashed in the front yard of the house across from that. That is almost 2 blocks away of fenced in suburbia hell. A kid from round the way found it as it crashed and when I came by a minute later the blades started whirring from my controller being in range and scared the shit out of him. (He was maybe 10) I adjusted a bent blade and it took off again no problem, the kid was amazed at it and went to get his Dad, who wanted to get one too.
Damn this thing is a blast.

if you don't mind the long ship time, banggood.com has the best price on these things. the cheap one doesn't have a camera. 34 bucks w/o a remote, 42 w/ a remote (for when you finally lose it, next time buy the one w/o the remote). They also have the best price on extra blades (1.08 a set if you get 10 at a time) and extra batteries (convinient to have 5 spares in your pocket).
there's 3 versions w/ a camera. the .3mp which is pretty low quality. there's a 2mp, not bad but obviously doesn't have any image stabilization, and a First Person View model that will send live video back to a remote.
if you don't mind paying about 10 bucks more per model, you can get it next day off amazon.com.

I've been wanting an 883 for a while, but their suspensions are complete shit. Went to the Triumph dealership today. $600 off, took about 15 minutes to buy. Seriously, this is how shit gets done. I've had a harder time buying hamburgers and sneakers. Gave em the code to my garage; they'll drop it off before lunch.

We have actually talked about having goats, but that's a whole 'nother set of issues. We've got about 2 1/2 acres to mow, with many, many trees to mow around, so I decided to go with the Zero Turn. It comes tomorrow, and I'm pretty excited, but it's supposed to rain. Damnit.
Ah hell, my neighbor has one of these. She has 2x the yard that I do, and gets done at the same time as me on my POS Husqvarnannabe. Might have to grab myself a 42 with mulch kit.

Well, I've mowed with it, and it mowed quite a bit more quickly than my previous garden tractor style mower. The steering will take some getting used to though. The yard is still pretty splotchy and not fully come in yet, but I lopped off the top of the weeds, anyway.
