Feet don't stay warm enough with just socks. And I'd still might wear socks with slippers even if my feet didn't sweat in slippers. Socks are durable and can handle the washing machine, slippers can't.
You live in Florida. Isn't your default state 'sweaty'?

Those old IBM keyboards are the best ever. They're made out of fucking steel through and through.
Not to mention the fact that they made you sound like you were doing 10x more work than you actually were.

We have an old mechanical keyboard similar to this in the backroom of my office, it's from a Wang computer
My dad(I work for him) held on to it, it was the keyboard from the first PCs his company got in the mid 80s. It has 2 rows of function keys at the top F1 -F12 and F13-F24. We actually still use an old emulated unix mainframe terminal through windows and I still have to occasionally use F20 for a specific function that we need. Of course, nowadays that's simulated with Shift-F8 opn a normal keyboard. Crazy that we are still using software that is a holdover from nearly 30 years ago though.
