I dunno what trailer YOU saw, but all the ones I've seen make it look exciting and fun. I guess you gotta Araysar it up or lose life points or something.
Not that I trust DC trailers. There hasn't been a great DC movie since Nolan's second Batman. Before that, you gotta go to 1989 Batman and before that you gotta go to Superman I and II, and that's it for great DC movies.
We'll see if its good when it is released, not before.

still 97% on RT after 76 critic reviews (78/100 on MC), this releases on HBO Max next friday so no skin off my back to watch. I like Gunn and most of this cast, its also Margot Robbies last Harley performance

Tracking doesn't seem to be great, Jungle Cruise was estimated at $30m and hit $34m opening weekend but also $30m in D+ premium. This will be on HBO max thursday night for home viewing. I'd bet though it drives a LOT of new trial and subs to HBO Max, maybe more than any other movie so far (Zack Snyder Justice League, Wonder Woman, Godzilla v Kong) so if that happens WB is probably pretty happy.

this is out TODAY on HBO Max and in theaters. It will start airing on HBO Max at 7pm EST on thursday August 5th (4pm PDT), the same time most theaters will have their first showing.
I'm really looking forward to it, the 2-3 reviewers I briefly checked out all liked it and said it was a HARD HARD HARD r-rating, extremely violent and felt like a throwback to 80s action movies. Just my jam, especially for a home viewing. Do NOT watch it with kids under 13, unless you wanna repeat your childhood fuckup of "sooo i watched Nightmare on Elm Street at a slumber party when I was 7..."

Early horror for me was Alien. I was out by myself at 11pm and went to see that. Wow. Was disappointed that Sigourney had no nude scenes. For a young kid, that movie was _very_ scary.
