Soygen: "Her texts and behavior for months following the alleged rape cast quite a bit of reasonable doubt on her accusation. Clearly it was enough for the school to dismiss any charges or disciplinary action against the accused. I guess the school was just going on the "Feels" system too."
Thank you, Soygen, for making an actual point. I very much appreciate it.
Here's the thing:
I'm not claiming she was raped. I understand there isn't enough proof to conclusively say she has been raped. I NEVER claimed she had been raped. In fact, I acknowledged early on that there is a possibility she was not raped. I absolutely never said or implied that Nangussen needs to be charged or punished.
The peanut gallery IS claiming she made false allegations. There is DEFINITELY reasonable doubt on that claim, but pretty much everyone here claims with complete confidence and certainty that she is making false rape accusations. These are claims without proof, something I thought Rerolled was strongly against.
Like you have just done, many take this point and keep trying to twist it back to "But we can't prove he raped her!" even though that has literally nothing to do with what I'm saying. I know we can't prove that. I've always known that and said so from the beginning. There are 2 scenarios and neither is proven beyond a reasonable doubt. I, being a moderate, have held off on jumping to conclusions. The peanut gallery, driven by "feels", are completely comfortable throwing around accusations of a serious crime pertaining to someone who, for all they know, might be completely innocent. That's the hypocrisy.
