The older I get the more I appreciate the things in life I never gave a second thought to as a young man.


I'm very lucky being damn near 40 and my grandfather is still around, and I spend a fair bit of time with him and my grandma. This video made me tear up thinking about him.

Anyways, here's a brick of lard sausage being made.

As someone who started learning to cook 6 months ago, I've done this twice now. Lets just say I'm better at figuring out which vegetable oils can NOT be put on high heat for long lol.

/did not burn down the kitchen yet

You know the temperature can be found usually on the bottle, right? If not, there's always Google!

Avocado oil, grapeseed oil, Canola oil, clarified butter and peanut oil are probably your most common high heat cooking oils
