This last episode was the first episode to keep me locked to the tv for the full duration since season 1. Usually I get bored or annoyed 10 minutes in and do something else while the show plays in the background.

I am surprised however nobody has commented about the scene where the guy gets bitten that I felt was either horrible directed or horribly written or both. Brought the episode down to an 7.5 from a 9 for me. Everyone knew he was going to die by the end and it had to happen to advance the characters and the dialogue in the way they were going, but there were a million other ways they could have had him get bitten that wouldn't have looked so stupid. I don't think I need to elaborate on why it was dumb.

For those of you in the Missouri range, it looks like the next season will be in Springfield, MO. How do I get signed on as a zombie?

I was surprised that they could turn out that good of an episode. It was like it was an all-new show. I can't remember a better episode of TV in 2015.
I agree it was a great episode, but if you liked Evil Dead at all, you should check out the pilot for Ash vs. Evil Dead. I'd put that at the top of the (non-Rick & Morty) list for this year, maybe many years.

So my wife bitched me out the other day. Haven't watched this show since the farm season (I catch an episode every once in awhile, I know the main plot).

She told me I was a stubborn idiot and the show has gotten so much better and I Should give it another shot. So I half watched the morgan episode, and I guess that's a terrible place for me to jump back in.

If I've hated the show since season 2, is it even worth trying to catch back up? I don't watch TV for the sake of watching TV, I try to only watch good shows.

Season 3 is probably the worst the show gets and I don't think season 4 was much better. However, 5 and on the show does get significantly better. The arc at the very end of season 4 that finishes at the start of 5 is what I would consider the show's peak and legitimately good TV. I haven't really disliked the show since, despite there being plenty of dumb moments.

Right there with you for season 2. It was boring. You have to slog through a really dumb season to get to the decent stuff, but maybe zombies put your wife in the mood or something and it would be worth it.

I dunno, I really liked the
Shane and Rick ending
which was a great set piece that is out of Samurai movie..or the cutscene in the NES ninja gaiden!

The show is better but I'm not sure I'd ever tell someone to catch up on it just so you can watch some average TV. There is still a ton of face palming at just obvious plot holes and ninja zombies being the catalyst for happenings.

I loved Evil Dead (the original), and I need to check that out.

The show is okay as long as you can get past a zombies main weakness is being on camera. On camera you can outrun them with a brisk walk, bash their brains in with a pair flip flops and see/hear them coming from a mile away.

Off camera they're Uber ninja zombies. Able to sneak up on prey in an empty field with a 360? field of view for 20 miles around completely unseen and with teeth the can bite through denim without even trying.

I stopped watching in Season 2 originally. I think the straw on the camel's back was the scene with Shane at the school. Someone convinced me to power through that season and I do feel like it's a really good show now.

Shane at the school.. isn't that where he shoots the fat guy in the leg? Because that was his greatest moment.

yeah, that was pretty fucking awesome, too bad according to tv rules its an automatic death sentence for your own character. cant have a good guy intentionally causing good characters to die for your own survival, even though stuff like that may undoubtedly happen in real life even by so called good people.

The show becomes good again once none of the main characters bother arguing with Rick anymore.

Mostly because those people are all dead now. But he had to learn from them before he became Mr Always Right.

Which is how we know the show is going to pull something to ruin his confidence like it's a goddamn Rocky sequel. He's been infallible for like three seasons now. (and we already know what they are keeping in their pocket just for that reason from comic spoilers)

Too bad the old FOH boards are rip, I did a funny image of Shane and that guy, but with the other guy as Astro ;p
