It's all fun and games until 40 of them can topple a bell tower. Something close to that I demo'd years ago took 2 chevy 454 duallies to pull down.

Yeah but their drama isn't drama... at all. It's the most shallow shit I have ever seen in a TV Show.

I mean quite honestly if these are the real world adult conversations in the midst of a zombie apocalypse, I'd rather see a conversation between zombies.
What makes this worse is that the series started off so strong. There are some powerful scenes that still stick with me - like the bar scene where they go to retrieve a drunk Hershel and meet two random guys asking about their camp, or Rick meeting the Governor to negotiate. Stuff where a lot of the exchange is non-verbal and the tension is palpable.

How did we get from those scenes to what we have now? Did Jane Espenson take over writing for the show or something?

Why care? Well, it has a lot of significance as there was a cliffhanger for a major character seemingly being eaten alive and waiting 3 weeks for resolution as the guy escapes unbitten and under a dumpster with the highest wheel clearance ever and was also safe from zombies seeing him or shimmying under there. its the worst instance of bullshit since the little girl in the barn that nobody knew about.

The difference is a Zombie wouldn't think to lower itself enough to crawl, it's just going to sit there and try to reach for you. Just like how they are dumb enough to let themselves get squished to a pulp against Alexandria's walls.

There was enough room for Glenn under there and that was about it. There was no gap between him and that dumpster.

dude, if they can randomly stick a horde of zombies inside a sewer then zombies can crawl under a dumpster after a tasty morsel. i mean shit, how else do you get a horde of zombies into a sewer?

Randomly stick them in a sewer? Oh, do you know their story when no one else did? Please share.

I mean, it couldn't have been people hiding out, one of them died...they didn't realize simply dying turned you and then the others were fucked? Nah, that couldn't have happened. Only scenarios that Astro can think up are clearly what happened.

Also, like 4 zombies is a horde according to Astro, good to know.

The zombies did try to get under, and he killed them, making sort of a barrier against the other ones, since zombies aren't really good at moving things out of the way. Or were your eyes rolling too hard at him being able to fit under it that you missed the part where he stabbed a bunch of them? Sure it is dumb, but come on, are you really going to draw the line with this one? This one is more plausible than dozens of other ones in the past, really.

While I think the dumpster bit was cheesy as fuck, I actually have more of a problem with Enid somehow knowing he was there. It would have been so simple to just have him run into herwalkingthrough the town, but nope, gotta do it the stupidest way possible, as usual.

i was so confounded by the stupidity of that scene i might have blacked out while he was zombie fighting under a fucking dumpster

Yea, he stabbed the first few that were reaching for him. The others didn't really notice he was even down there, they were too busy munching on Nicholas.
I agree there are very implausible scenarios created to justify the plot, but this wasn't one of them. Half of the people saying Glenn didn't die outlined this EXACT scenario immediately following the cliffhanger. i.e. Nicholas body is on top, he crawls under dumpster and zombies don't notice cause they are in a feeding frenzy.
I think the producers had hoped no one would notice they had built in an escape for him, but it was basically the only plausible scenario and was obvious, so then they had to be all cagey about whether he was actuallydeador not.

All I got from this last page was Zombies not good rolling things away. Good at toppling buildings however.

Zombies are good at doing whatever the hack writers feel is appropriate given the context. One second they're crawling on the floor like US Seals, the next they're making a loud ruckus, the scene after that they're moving faster than Usain Bolt to surprise a character followed by slowly shambling towards a character to be rescued with just a sliver of time to spare.

Has the show ever had a good death by zombie scene? Something that actually makes sense and doesn't require the character to either do something incredibly stupid or freeze up for 10 seconds and forget to fight back even though we've probably seen them take on dozens of zombies at a time before.

Zombies had nothing to do with the tower coming down. That was the structural damage done by the semi crashing into the building.

If you cut down a tree and take a notch out of it so it falls in a certain direction, there's still a chance it wont fall in that direction.

Also you pick really retarded things to take issues with in a show that's full of major plot holes.
