I kept thinking, "that dude looks just fucking like Trevor." Ending was fucking retarded. Why would you open the next season with the death instead of using it for the finale? How do you fuck that up so badly?

I think it's Eugene. Since he handed over the recipe for bullets I kind of think his character on the show has fulfilled his importance. They also emphasised what a survivor he is now.
I hope it's not because Virginia is for lovers but I think it's Eugene.

I think it might be... oh wait I don't care. As posted a few days ago done with AMC and this show. Episode was great, acting was excellent, Negan is well done. AMC can however like someone else's asshole for ratings. Sick of their shit and I don't have time for it. Was fun though guys!

That last scene was amazing though. I thought my heart was gonna beat out of my chest. I guess that's what made the sting of the cliffhanger so terrible.

I bet you next season they start with some flashback shit and you don't even see who got killed until the end of the episode.

Eh, he said 'who, this dick?' or similar and then explained he's known him a long time, then asked what the question was again. It seemed more like a friend busting another friend's balls. Besides, I don't think the actors know exactly who died either. They will still have some shooting to do next season, unless they filmed more scenes ahead of time, so there's not much of a chance of 'uhh.. don't bother showing up to set next season' scenario having happened either.

I think the show did it this way so they didn't paint themselves into a corner too. They get to gauge viewer reaction and see which characters people would be most upset to see gone, and then pick someone a couple down from there. I.e. Glenn and Daryl fans start bitching during off season, so they pick Abraham or something. I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't actually chosen who dies just yet.

After having to wait 6+ months to find out who it is, it better not be the fucking D-lister. My money's on Glenn or Maggie. I think it may be Glenn because most people who are going to Google for comic spoilers have already done so in the past, and know that the show plays spin-the-wheel when it comes to comic book death scenes, and will think he's safe for that reason. It may be Maggie, because she's obviously the closest to Glenn, and Negan pointed out the fact that she looks like shit. He's not going to care to expend resources on keeping her alive.

Typical shitty season finale. The last episode is now usually the worst in the season. 90 minutes long (tons of commercials of course), where only the last 15 minutes needed to happen. Everything else was BS filler.

Let me add what I loved.

The way Rick slowly realized he was completely fucked and overwhelmed.

The last few weeks has been Rick way too confident, thinking they had it all and no one could stop them. He goes into the first roadblock thinking he's doing them a favor letting them live. Then slowly with each stop he sees that he is way in over his head. They had him at each turn, and even his brilliant sneak into the night trick failed. By the end he was broken knowing he fucked up and someone was going to die.

It was slow at times, but how each stop got progressively meaner and stronger, with more people. Fucking awesome.

I still think its Glenn, but if I had to choose an alternative, it would be Abraham. Abraham is certainly being set-up in the same way that Tyreese was. At peace. Looking towards the future. Bam. Also been long dead in the comic at this stage, so he's really "house money" in terms of the show. From a Negan perspective, he also makes sense as a strong male.

My guess would be Abe or the gay dude. Wasn't Aaron sitting right next to Carl? If this is true, it makes sense why he would single out Carl and say if he screams take out his other eye. I don't think it's going to be either Glenn or Maggie because I'm pretty sure you would of heard one of them screaming in the background and it was mostly silence. The only person in the group that they would give a shit the least would be Aaron, hence the silence.

Shitty way to end the season and the ultimate troll job if in fact it is Aaron, not even a main guy.

It was mostly silent because you heard it from the perspective of the person getting bludgeoned. Their ears were ringing and everything else was super muffled.

Abe and Eugene got the goodbye music while they hugged it out. So I figure it's Eugene, since he gave up his half of the secret to standing up to the Saviors. (with Abe knowing the location)

If the show is clever enough to have them try to work on the inside to deplete Negan's ammo supply I'd be impressed.
