Ive been to big cat rescue. That lady is very controversial in the animal world, she spends her time trying to ban exotic breeding so she can have that market cornered herself. So thats what this show is about? MOST of the people in the exotic animal world are kinda trashy, guess ill watch.

Do you have a source for this? Any real cat rescue is fervently against captive breeding, it's literally the first stated requirement for GFAS accreditation. And the second one is no commercial trade in animals or parts. There's nothing profitable about a GFAS compliant rescue, they're colossal money sinks entirely dependent on philanthropy to stay afloat.

i mean they're literally a business making money. im seeing packages as high as 200 bucks for the day. the difference is they aren't as exploitable (debatable)

I'm a skeptic about these things by nature, and I'm sure he probably deserves to be in prison, but jailhouse confessions or confessions by felons looking to make deals to avoid more jail time always seem to me to be the least convincing kind. I mean, it sounds like the feds gave him the opportunity to pay a willing hit man a pittance to get the job done for sure (which seems an awful lot like entrapment) and instead he end up talking seriously about it for a few hours and ultimately not following through. Exactly like nearly everything else in his life. So why am I to assume that two guys who hated him and desperately wanted to fuck him over are telling the truth when they say the time he [allegedly] gave the felon money it was for sure to follow through with a murder. I'm probably talking myself into it in my head, but it just seems so far fetched that if he had committed to go through with it once, that he would talk very seriously about doing it again with someone else and then not follow through.

They're a non-profit, and while I'm sure that still leaves plenty of room for an unscrupulous person to line their pockets, the idea that she just wants to 'corner the market for herself' is dumb. Roadside zoos like the one Joe Exotic kept are fucking terrible, and they should all be driven out of business, and any GFAS rescue wants to see them gone, not just the BCR folks.
