Guys maybe when Velcoro gets wrecked in court and becomes VV's right hand muscle we'll get some awesome black ops thug stuff! It could almost literally be a 1:1 for MM's tracking scene!!!!!!!
Doesnt it show that hes still a cop in the preview? Every scene with Ray has been great. Kinda shitty because this is how the show goes

Great scene with Ray explaining Vinci's corruption, warning Ani that her and Woodrugh need to watch out
Boring scene showing VV making deals with the russians
Good scene with Woodrugh having a breakdown and Ray trying to help him
Boring scene with VV making deals at the apartments
Good scenes explaining the doctor killed the mayors wife most likely, Ani's fathers past, the contamination getting explained
Borring scene with VV trying to makes deals with the ex boyfriend

About the plot, wasn't it the angry mayor, one or two episodes back who said something like "I like a pimp for that"? This whole case is a rotten cluster-fuck and that's where lies the fun of this season. Anywhere you look, anywhere you go, there is something fishy.
The most frustrating thing is probably that with a bit more time and planning this season could have been awesome, because the web of corruption is complicated and interesting, but instead we get scene after scene of sexual dysfunction. I mean, the notion that the criminal trying to go straight is potentially the one most invested in justice is interesting, but instead we get scene after scene of sexual dysfunction. The situation of two dirty and/or hated cops being set up could be really cool if they started figuring it out because how would they work their way out of it, but instead we get scene after scene of sexual dysfunction and them stupidly walking into an obvious trap.

Oh and freeze-frame. You would think that with a name like popsicle you would get that right. It was strange though. Not sure why they used one. Maybe because the material they had did not work with the timing they wanted? Like they cut too soon when filming or an extra moved and they did not notice before editing... possibilities are endless.
What now?

Who knows why they used one. They used one in season 1 to great effect, so my guess is it was on Nic's radar as a cool device to really make a point with. Unfortunately, I don't think it made the desired point.

You missed highlighting the part in that scene where the lead detective is looking at a scrapbook that puts all the pieces of a corruption puzzle together and remarks how it's a big fucking coincidence... Ummm, no honey, if you were even remotely competent that would be called a clue.

It was nice for the short period where Tuco giving you the mobile ned stark, gave us a reprieve from your need to respond to every single post with a trollbait comment, or in absence say something idiotic fishing for a response. give it a fucking rest already, Lithose you are not.

So happy coincidence that the shoot out occurred at the protest against the new rail system or? I wonder if the insider with the Mayor or whatever told the Messicans that there would be a clear path where the protest was to kill many birds with many stones.

Eh, it was kinda boring.

Someone posted the big grand theory on the mines..... that, umm, maybe mines are involved.

And someone had the great insight that maybe MM wasn't the only good actor in the first one, and that Woody was kinda good too.

Riveting stuff.

So, what's your response to episode 4, grumblethorn? We haven't heard from you yet about the show. Am curious.

Im still really surprised they killed him, he was obviously in someones pocket but probably wont find out. Previews look like Rays pissed off so maybe he beats some more ass. Hope everything comes together and turns to madness unlike season 1 ending. Frank had to of set Ray up in the biginning, Blake turned on Frank, all the corruption and stuff with the church and we still have Birdman/Doctor. Not sure how much of a time jump theyre going to do

Also heres another

Went back and looked at the trailers and Ray is going to start fucking people up, there is atleast 3 different times his puts the hurt on people with gloves on and other crap. Not sure if he does start working for Frank or if he's still working an old case like Rust. Also looks like 2nd half of the season is going to have a lot more action then second half of season 1 did with them still doing raids ect

I thought it had something to do with santa muerte, I really hope all this stuff is connected somehow and not just red herrings

Amarilla was involved with a Santa Muerte cult. If you're unfamiliar, Santa Muerte is a deity often associated with violence, criminality, and the illegal drug trade in Mexico (and Mexican gangs in Los Angeles). It's kind of an unofficial spin-off of the Catholic church, and the worship of Santa Muerte is linked to prostitution, drug trafficking, kidnapping, smuggling, and homicide. Basically, criminals pray to Santa Meurte for good deaths. You may recognize the saint, the Lady of Death, from Ben Caspere's house.

I actually thought Armarilla was setup but it makes sense with the prostitution and the stuff in Caspers house. Kinda shitty that Klitch and Farrell apparently dont have any more screen time the rest of the season from the sounds or it

Huh? Do you mean together? They're clearly in the next episode.

On a show he said he only got to do 2 scenes with Klich which sucked because he liked working with him. Rays probably going back to helping frank a lot more
