While Popsicle has been harsh and maybe a bit loquacious, he has exposed the vapid statements Jozu has infested on this thread. Seriously, that list of previous statements is painful to read.

If only Popsicle was mocking this season, it might just be him. LOTS of people are rightfully mocking this season. It's bad and when you actually get past the halfway point before you get 'solid' episodes, that's a lot too far. When you have 8 episodes to work with, you don't fill it full of excess. You work with what you are given. While sometimes slow, last season was far superior from the same guy. There really isn't a good excuse. Show is bad and maybe Pizzolatto only had enugh in him for one good story. Nothing wrong with that.

Only thing im guilty of in this thread is being gay for Farrel/Velcoro. That and defending the shows direction.

I honestly think this season is going to end up being a success.

Velcoro still killing it. VV was better this episode, although getting played by the Mexicans seemed almost too obvious. Feel like he wouldn't be walking point into their place either just after an initial check by his bearded hench...let alone just 5 of them going to meet the girl after he basically let her and them set the meeting.

Mcadams having been molested is no surprise either. Stunning lack of quality star tits this season.

Colin Ferrell had some great scenes tonight. The stuff with VV was tense. His awkward scene with his kid and subsequent collapse. VV was alot better trying to connect with Stan's son. Yeah I expected the meeting to be a trap. I'm also glad the crazy knife shit finally paid off.

This was a great episode. First half was mostly Farrel acting his dick off (prison visit scene and coke party were tits), last 20 or so minutes had that undercover tension exhibited in ep4s01. Music was weird and out of place, but I kind of dug that about that whole escape scene. I'm really not minding VV as much as most people seem to be either.

Episode 3 and 4 were pretty iffy at best, but the last two have my interests reignited.

Still no clue/care what is going on with the actual case.

This season is so fucking terrible. Terrible acting, terrible writing, terrible stories, even the music is terrible. Tried to give it a chance but I'm just not invested in any character at this point and don't care enough anymore to even bother with the final episodes.

I did notice Farrell has yet to fire his gun since whatever his name cop, soon to be revealed birdman, was shown messing with the drawer it was in. I assume it won't fire during a critical scene?
