I dunno, that "yellow king" is wearing orange.
I watched through bits and pieces of episodes last night trying to convince myself that it can't be Marty. Instead of finding good reason why it can't be him, I only found more reasons why it might be him. In addition to the obvious questions about his daughter:
-Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only time he is ever shown to be proactive about the case when not with Rust is when he follows that chick to go ask the guy at the rave where Ledoux is. Why? Because he wants Ledoux dead. Why would the yellow king want one of his trashbag cult brothers dead? Ledoux talked. He talked to his cellmate about their cult killings, and he talked about the yellow king. First rule about crazy satanic killing cult: Don't talk about crazy satanic killing cult. Second rule: Don't talk about the yellow king.
-Who else talked about the yellow king? The guy in prison who "killed himself" not long after he mentions him. Rust might have gotten him to tell him who the yellow king was if he hadn't uncharacteristically gone crazy and started wailing on him. But who called the prisoner so soon after he talked? The yellow king, because Rust told Marty this guy talked about the yellow king, and said he's still alive and killing. How else could the yellow king have known so quickly?
-When they go to visit the hooker ranch, Marty gets really upset about the young one there. But the hooker they talk to calls him out on this. She says he only cares that she's giving it up to other guys for money and that he is not the one in control. Above all, he wants to be in control. As long as he's in control, he doesn't care how young they are.
-The previous point leads into why he wastes the blond guy with Ledoux. He wanted Ledoux dead anyways, but its possible he knew the kids they took, maybe he liked the girl they had, and he was enraged they would take her without asking him. They took his control. The blond guy knew it was coming, he knew Marty.
-When Marty watches the tape, he isn't upset about what he sees. He's upset that the tape somehow got out. He stops it not because he can't bear watching, but because he's angry and he already knows what happens on it. "You shouldn't have this." He wants to convince Rust to destroy it.
-Pretty much throughout, Marty cooly plays down a lot of the leads or good ideas Rust has. He never shows too much emotion when Rust is onto something, but that is because Rust is still a long, long ways from getting him.
I hope there's nothing to all this, and that the governor or whoever is really the yellow king. Either way, it's pretty genius how they left open the possibility and gave just enough evidence to create doubt that it just might be Marty.
