I like the swiss system. The physical education system in US high schools is basically having kids run laps around the tennis courts, fucking pointless. Make some kind of ROTCesque program standard and people might have a clue about handling guns safely.

Exactly my point. Keep in mind I'm a proud longarm owner and exhunter. (only stopped because my health makes it overly challenging)

I don't trust myself with a handgun personally though, too volatile of a personality to not risk use in a moment of emotion and likely lose my nerve in a defensive situation. Both of which training would rectify in theory.
