The thing is I don't think that vanessa has a kid, nor do i think he's going to adopt one in order to feed it androgens. So it's still in the realm of opinion. No actual harm is being done. I further don't think the arguments being made will gain traction among the medical community at large. I think it's going to go the opposite way. Because they're fucking with kids, and that's primal.
I genuinely believe that we've reached the high water mark on this particular insanity.
Vanessa isn't a very good surrogate for whatever crazy-ass hollywood adoptive mother decides to turn a small malasian boy into a toy dog because no one knows how to tell her not to. Now if we could hit THAT woman with a brick... well, I think we should. And probably the medical professionals that are complicit.
The crux of Vanessa's entire argument is "it would have helped me." That can both be true and not a good enough reason.

You guys said and say a lot of things, most of which is alarmist, ultra right wing nonsense with a complete lack of self-awareness. In this very thread you have Vanessa lecturing about how all the libs are sheep, mere NPCs who aren't capable of critical thought, and then she opens her mouth about trans issues and it's fucking shocking as a case study in how unaware of themselves someone can be.
But yeah, I already admitted, a few years ago I would have told you that you were a retard if you said that this puberty blocker thing would even be an actual argument. And it still isn't mainstream, most people don't know wtf it even is, but it's way more mainstream than it should be. And then there's cases like the Adam Hates Everything guy on Rogan, where he clearly seems to want to be empathetic to trans people, but the path he takes is to just abandon any critical thinking at all on the subject. It's a problem that neither political extreme really has an answer for. The answer certainly isn't id politics focused trollfests.
