Since some of you mentioned the whole suicide rate stat I have to admit there is something I was wondering in that regard. I'm not even sure how you do a study on this, but...

I wonder if there is, and to what extent, a correlation between the suicide rate and level of "passability" for someone who is trans. Has there been any actual research?

24 hours has come and gone and here's what's happened in regards to my challenge of someone stepping up to the plate and posting about the glaring problem with that Breitbart article:

I agree actually, and here's the problem: How do we know if these deaths weren't due to treatment of adolescent prostate cancer? Well we don't. This argument is lacking. This appears to be simply a raw count. You have to account for the size of the population taking said drugs to get a more accurate picture (and, if possible, the frequency of usage). Adolescent Tylenol users is surely in the millions. I find it hard to believe puberty blockers for gender dysphoria is any more than the tens of thousands. Perhaps you don't have this information or this information (obviously an estimate) is not easy to obtain -- that's fine but don't present woefully incomplete data with such a sense of finality.

You should have stopped at pointing out a lot of people didn't read the article and just saw the headline numbers of thousands dead. That would have been clean.

Also, when are you going to share how long you were dating your now roommate before they moved in?

Vanessa ! I am happy to see you back in good spirits destroying these hatertots. As my way of thanking you for another high-quality contribution, I set aside some time to read through that article. After having thought on it several days, I have concluded that the entertainment value was low. I didn't get much out of it and feel that my limited cognitive resources have been swindled. I am unhappy with whomever originally shared the article and understand that you only engaged it out of a desire to stamp out disinformation and misconception.

That being said, the only thing I noticed about the article was that all of its sources appeared to be other Breitbart articles. Having spent the vulnerable pre-caffeinated moments of my Saturday morning reading one Breitbart article, I could not justify reading others.

Also, I think you are being too hard on hodj about his appearance. I think

hodj is a dashing young man, even in his excess. That being said, I think calling him a flesh candle was a devilishly clever jab. It made me chuckle (no offense hodj dude, but that was pretty funny). Sadly the humor of it all faded when it occurred to me that a candle is still a light and while I am quite certain you did not mean it that way, the connotation was that he was also a fleshlight :c
