I'd doubt it was cocaine, but it did seem off. She's in the bathroom "peeing", runs around for 30 seconds jibber jabbering, then she says she needs to pee and waddles off to the bathroom. She's probably just on some pills for staying awake or focusing and the side effects will end up being cocaine-esque.

I think at some point they're going to have Tom become the President and Selena become VP again. I think it'd be hilarious. Then Tom could vanish like the first president and only appear in episodes they really wanted him to be in.

That's a good point I could see that happening with the way they've been setting him up. It would allow him to continue just making cameos and allow her to maintain the Veep title.

this season doesn't really seem to be as funny, i think putting her in the prez was a mistake. As a VP she is hilarious and you get that quayle/biden vibe, but as president its more scary than funny how incompetent she is. Also losing so much of the staff has really changed the dynamic, and where did the dude who got hired to be Amy 2.0 go...

still Jonah's storyline has probably been the funniest this season

This season is certainly not as funny and I agree a lot has to do with her being president. Everything is more humorous when she is more jaded. When Jonah pointed out that all those chicks looked like him I lost it. Shit was hilarious.

I think it's also got a lot to do with scuttling all the supporting characters off, which is a mistake. Dan and Amy's scenes are rarely all that funny because they're in these stand alone scenes in some weird consultant position that just isn't interesting. The show was funny in the first few seasons because of how the characters all played off each other.

They've essentially made a spin off show within a show. And spin off shows always suck.

OK, catching up on this season and I can't find episode 5 on either HBO Go, or for that fact, anywhere else..... ideas? Ep4 is there, Ep6 is there.. no Ep 5.

Was something in Ep 5 actually bad enough for HBO to try to pretend it didn't exist?

This episode was amazing. I'm actually really digging Jonah's assistant, Richard. He's got great delivery. JLD of course killed the episode and Tony Hale was A+ levels of Gary. Him removing Catherine's ice cream and him laughing at JLD's jokes in a chair by himself behind them all was great.

It's better now that Dan and Amy are back together. And yeah, Jonah's assistant is great. Hope Tom James sticks around. They are certainly setting it up for him to be president.
