Not being able to see my own feet IRL while walking like that would make me paranoid as all hell.

where’s Superman or Batman for vr? Oh right we’re in the matrix and don’t get nice things.
There was a batman game for the old school rift. It was too short but really bad ass. Throwing batarangs NEVER gets old!

I played a Batman game on PSVR, it was extremely well done for a short as it was.

Meta's OS used for their Oculus headsets being made available to some 3rd parties for their efforts.

Playing Genotype for PSVR2, it's a pretty solid metroidvania style game, and runs super smooth on PSVR2. The devs took the time to optimize it for the headset (foveated rendering, etc), so I'm happy to support them!

Kinda hard to see but this lady had a Jill Stingray avatar (main girl in the game)

Usually when the weather turns hot I move my bed into my VR space because I have an air conditioner in there and that kind of ends my VR activities for the year.

I discovered that the bed really doesn't get in the way much at all, and I really don't need the extra room. And the best part is you can just sit down whenever you want, and if you get turned around and bump into it it is soft and won't trip you up like a chair would.

It has really been nice especially for taking a little break when worlds are loading. I have potato internet speeds combined with a potato cpu so loading and initializing new worlds takes a long ass time for me, and I can just lie down on the bed instead of standing the whole time.

So this summer I've been doing ALOT of vrchat. I've adjusted alot and can handle brief flying type stuff without puking now.

I'm still using my old rift. I think I had mentioned that all the foam had decayed away to this toxic black sludge; I got this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KW2VFTC?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

And it is really awesome. It is a peel back sticker in the shape of the face-contact area with velcro, and then you stick the leather pad on the velcro spikey bit. It is super comfy compared to the old stuff, and especially after it inevitably all fell off. For awhile there I just had the hard plastic on my face.

I used a solvent called Goof Off to get rid of the remaining bits of sticky nasty sludge from the rotting old foam.

The other invention that has made my life 5x better is... drinking straws! The rift is so huge it was difficult to drink anything, but now I have a spot where I sit a drink and I can find the straw and take a drink without looking. Helps for being in-world several hours.

I picked up the half life VR game, I think it's Alex or somesuch. Realized I haven't booted my Quest 2 up in a year & a half. None of the space video apps work anymore. It boots to Felix & Paul but says there is a problem. Not sure how long that has happened. Sadly I'll probably play the one game then it can go back to gathering dust. Love VR, the experiences are like none other. Lone Echo was amazing! But all VR games are too short for the cost.

Anyone been able to score the PSVR2 PC adapter kit? The scalpers bought them all out. I do want to try it but the reviews aren't exactly glowing.

My oculus has been sitting collecting dust since 2020. Haven’t touched it since I beat hl alyx. It’s hard to really enjoy another vr game after that. Wish someone else would try to up the ante

Did you try Lone Echo ? Caveat: I have HL Alyx but have not played it yet. Lone Echo was old school Ryft , you can use the oculus app store to get it and it was amazing. they made a sequel but I never tried it.

HL Alyx was so good I had the same problem with my vr collecting dust. Everything else was just lackluster as hell in comparison.

The only other thing that was close was VR racing due to the depth perception when approaching corners but I was playing on controller so it wasnt that enjoyable. Now that I have a Sim rig I'm really looking into getting a psvr2.
