That one was fun for a month. The little ankle biter tanks were a hoot, but i can't recall name either. What was that modern tank game that went under? It was fun but definitely more arcadey.

Think you may be right. What was that modern tank game that went under? It was fun but definitely more arcadey.
I've looked at war thunder, thought about getting into it, I don't know if I got the time to grind everything out, a dentist really want to get hooked into that type of game again.
Haha, talk to text. Gets me every time.
Think you may be right.
I played world of tanks for years with a group of buddies, was doing clan Wars, all the shit. I don't know how many tanks are in my garage, but it's a lot. I think when they do the annual well-deserved reward thing I'm maybe the first or second year of the game. I remember when you would get matched with tanks that were maybe five tiers higher than you, when they finally did the new match making.
I stopped playing the last go around, and haven't touched it in a few years. I still kind of keep up with it, but I honestly don't really have a desire to go. Power creep in the game is monumental at this point though. It's just tanks I used to be a lot of fun to play and we're competitive are outshined buy whatever new tech tree or premium tank they released during Christmas.
Wonder if I could actually sell my account.

It's one of the reasons I got burnt out on world of tanks. They started doing these rare premium vehicles in their auctions or Christmas events, and some of them are just broken, but they're policy is they'll never nerve for really change that premium. Only one they ever did that with was the Chinese t59 maybe. I could be mistaken, but the game really has just become pay to play.I like it much more than the last few years I spent in WoT.
The realistic battles add a different flavor than the standard arcade battles. And the close air support really adds a completely different dimension to the match.
The premium tanks in this don't seem to add much of anything besides faster grinding. They have different ratings too. One could be +150% while a different one is +450%.
Like I said earlier, the German captured kv2 is a nice grinder. It's fun to play and I unlocked half the tech tree without even trying. It's definitely a bully for its tier, but the soviet one in the regular tech tree has all the same stats.
That's has become a simpson's days' without meme.gif. It's happened like 1/2 a dozen times that i can remember, and i don't even keep track of that shit.Is this the game where the guy gave up state secrets to prove the devs were wrong about the stats of some vehicle?
Srs bsns.
Dude, THAT'S a fanbase. That's has become a simpson's days' without meme.gif. It's happened like 1/2 a dozen times that i can remember, and i don't even keep track of that shit.
Sounds like WOT fundamentals, except maybe way more detailed / realistic vs arcade. Still need to know armor layouts, gun caliber calculations for overmatching, ricochet chance, etc. just general strengths and weaknesses of the different tanks. Obviously map positioning, shit like that.I have played a lot of War Thunder over the years, both air and ground battles. For reference it used to be air battles only when I first started playing.
The game has a lot of nuance to it and the devs have attempted to keep every vehicle historically accurate. There are only a few vehicles that were never actually manufactured in real life, both air and ground.
It most definitely can be p2w, but only if you know how to play the game well anyway; spending money just speeds up the grind... bigly. Having an ace crew is really powerful. The aspects of premium vehicles that make them p2w are little things that make a big difference against other vehicles at their battle rating (br) if played properly.
Being good at realistic ground battles means you know WELL:
#1 map positioning. Spawn points on various maps can vary. Certain positions are vastly better than others.
#2 where to shoot vehicles and which ammo to use by vehicle
#3 the limitations and drawbacks of your own tank. Reload time long? Dont brawl. Better not load up on full ammo, the first .50 cal that happens to poke through pops a shell and your crew is toast.
Ground realistic battles are the most fun game mode imo, outside a fullblown simulator setup in simulator mode.
