the problem with the high skill level missions is how do you reward it?
does it just give 20% more of the same shit? in a grindfest? this is not satisfying to anyone.
or is it the only way to get the best loot? if its the only way to get the best loot, you create a catch 22, which just annoys everyone. can only get that gear in a premade. premades won't accept randos, and certainly not randos without that gear they could only get in that mission, they need a premade to play in..
cosmetics. maybe? but you can't really KEEP giving that out, so its a limited one time only reward. play till you get your loot then stop.

I'm down to play with this new patch, it's hard as balls and I'm working on new builds with all the changes.
Crafting/itemization rework is coming and was supposed to be in this patch but it didn't get done in time. They've upped the crafting mats you get in a mission if you find all the relics and there is a puzzle on most, if not all maps that reward a a lot as well.

I just finally turned this back on today.
Oh boy, the damnation missions seem way harder than they used to be altogether.
I mean it’s not even close. I just joined 5 games and not one made it more than 10 minutes in.

Lots of weapon balancing and class buffs across the board. Including a new crafting system where you earn the blessings and perks as you level the weapon up. I believe you will be able to pick any combination of blessings/perks going forward without any weapon locks. The only RNG will be on the modifier percentages and it will show you a potential number for a maxed out weapon so you can see if it's worth your time or not. Also, if you saved up lots of blessings playing the last few years they will carry over to the new system, they just haven't told us how that works yet.
They posted a few pages of patch notes early last week.

I really want to like this game but the match time is soooo long to get matched up with shitters. I feel like this game is night and day with a play group vs randos.

New patch is out and this game is in a really good place right now. You can finally setup weapons how you like without any locks and the only RNG is the modifiers and what they max out. If you were every looking to start this is the time.
Also, FSR 3.1 is no joke. I was running about 50fps @ 4k on low settings. Now I can run everything at max @4k and get 160+ FPS most the time withe few dips to 120FPS. I can't believe how much better it is than the Nvidia equivalent.

Nice, on the weapon config. I’ve barely touched this in the past 6-8 months so gonna check it out again. That’s a way more fun way to do it, it’s too tedious randoming the right shit and not fun.

Turned on my computer last night. Turned on steam, updated game.
Opens up, pick character, starts to load. Crashes as soon as it gets into the game several times. I proceed to turn my computer off and go do something else.

if you had fsr on in the launcher and fullscreen it will crash. Have to go borderless.
