So many people want Battlefront/Battlefield 40k. I don't think Space Marine 2 will turn into that, but you can totally see it happening. I just think with the relatively small amount of content it has they'll never get there. I'd love to be proven wrong though.

Shame they can't let you customize the actual faces of the space marines. Salamanders are my fav Chapter. Not being able to make them all black dudes with red eyes means I gotta leave their helms on.

Haha, I didn’t know there was an entire chapter of black dudes with red eyes. I know where Brahma Brahma belongs in 40k now.

Call me soft. But now that ive gotten a chance to play more heavily. I want to say how happy I am despite some of the signs there might be a high risk of woke-itude, this is the best 40k game in a long time imo. Plenty of mixed race/gender stuff but all in very appropriate for the setting type stuff.

I was worried you'd still have some kind of dialogue that was showing political colors but that's all stayed true to cannon as well. Mechanicus are so suitably unerving, the server room had me kinda laugh when I went in and realized what it was.

i've been addictively playing the Operations missions. Even though it's repetitive with so few maps, upping the difficulty makes it enjoyable after so many runs.

I like the actual grind to level up your weapons and to get visual upgrades to your armor. The skins are really cool and give off the whole bad-ass veteran feel as you finish more missions.

Can't wait for more maps and this future horde mode.

did you play dark tide, rogue trader, mechanicus, or inquisitor?

Dark Tide was trash that took tons of post-launch work to become a decent game, Mechanicus is good but not great, haven't played Inquisitor but never heard anything better than 'mediocre 40K themed arpg'

Those are all trash to mediocre, I think Rogue trader is mainly only good due to nailing atmosphere and art etc, it's otherwise a clunky broken mess.
