I hate to admit this, because I’ve been really hyped for this game for quite some time. I’ve only played about an hour so far and am still on the first mission. Life is just too busy right now, and it doesn’t look like it’ll slow down until November.

At least I have something to look forward to!

It's a filter that mostly sharpens, so it's hard to see if you're not looking at those images in full screen.

Here's a more focused image. Default is on left. If you still think they're the same picture, I recommend seeing an optometrist before driving.

Why don’t studios do this? It seems odd to me that bored nerds can do things like this days after a launch but an entire dev studio can’t during the year of development?

I enjoyed it! I'd recommend waiting for a sale. The campaign is very short and the depth isn't huge. I am hoping they add more depth and content in the next year or so and I'll come back and jump into the additional missions.

As it is, I view it as almost an interactive Space Marine TV show. Some scenes are truly cinematic.

Thanks, that's what I figured. Seems like a good game to pick up eventually but I got plenty of games to play while I wait for a sale. I do this a lot with games, not because I can't afford them, but because I buy enough games to where it makes sense to wait for them to be decently discounted. Plus, most games seem to be better after they have had a few months to get patched up and have some more DLC release, especially if I can get the bundled versions for less than standard.

So what do I just keep repeating operations to level up classes, upping the difficulty until the next content drop or what

Sounds like this game could have used some sort of survival mode.

aight so i been messing around with the different classes.

Tactical is just the same generic space marine you play in the campaign right? haven't messed with that or the vanguard one (with the harpoon gun?)

Really wanted to like Bulwark but it took me more than 1 mission to realize i was using sword wrong (hold melee for heavy attack doesn't work, holding melee just toggles between light and heavy lol, i was just standing around lighting up my sword like a litebrite for a good 5 minutes dying.) plus it was just, not mobile enough for me. Tried both sniper (hated it) and heavy (was ok) before I tried Assault which so far is my favorite. I just can't get in to being ranged but then having to melee to restore armor and once I found a "pure" melee it's just tits. plus way more mobile than bulwark.

So yeah jump pack + hammer is where its at bros. I do wish that jump pack recharged faster but whatev, hammer smash
