A NOAA hurricane hunter aircraft just clocked it at 120MPH so still Cat 3. Expected to get back to Cat 4 once it is off of Cuba more.

Just finished talking to my mom. She's old...She said during Betsy they went to bed thinking/being told it wasn't going to hit LA. Got woke up at daylight with my grandparents calling asking if they were OK. Mom said she looked outside and wasn't even raining. Eye of the storm went right over them. So much for predictions. Betsy made two complete loops before finally making landfall.
