gotta love mother nature...

we just had ~foot of snow in my area over the past week.

enso being neutral means the weather is not going to have a predominant pattern over the US like occurs during either an el nino or la nina condition..

enso has been in neutral for almost 2 years now- in june ish of 2012 there was a brief burst of el nino but it only lasted a monthish- not long enough to qualify as an el nino condition (has to be 3 continuous months(if i remember correctly) to qualify for either condition. and the main enso models are -currently- predicting that we MIGHT get to el nino condition this summer around this june- of course this might all change in a week or two if the ocean temps either go up or drop...

I swear to God I wish I could shoot every single mother fucker who thinks it's a good idea to hop on the highway without cleaning snow off your fucking car. I think I'd drop the D.C area's population down to a dozen people.

4" here in between DC and Baltimore, managed to get out and shovel the driveway when the main storm finished. Never got any pure rain it was a wintry mix that went straight into snow and stuck to the roads by 7pm. That bottom layer iced up and the top crusted over so it's a wind carved landscape with free powder drifting. I think the last time Reagan got 2" was two years ago and we usually average under 1"

i have not made it out my door yet- we got ~20" total i think, but the toilet water supply froze- and i am busy fixing that (hairdryer to the pipe) first , then driveway/work- gotta go in, it's payday.

update:

snow drifts around my house ranged from bare grass to ~4' high, shear pin on snowblower broke, had to replace that- non drifted snow was ~20" by my house in total

made it into work, road conditions suck, been 3 car accidents at the intersection by work due to shitty plow work and cars getting stuck/sliding.

At least you don't have Gov Deval Patrick. That guy locks down MA at the mere mention of snow.

Roads were clear by the time I left work, so it was nice. 2.5 hour commute in, 1 hour commute home.

Felt bad for my wife, she was out there delivering mail all day.
