Snow here wouldn't be bad. Right now it's raining and below freezing. We're always right on the edge of getting snow so it just rains when it's right at freezing or below and then everything ices over. You can't drive over a bridge, the trees ice up and break, and the power lines ice up and come down as well. Fun stuff.

If it were 2 degrees colder there would be a decent storm for us tomorrow. As it stands it's likely to be a mixed mess where we risk the lives of delivery drivers instead.

Good times.

My car battery was frozen yesterday. Literally. After I managed to start the thing, the tires were rumbling till half way to work because the flat part of the tires refused to take a normal shape until I drove at least a mile.

I know you folks that deal with real weather simply laugh at us Californians when we complain about weather. But I had to get gas this morning and it was 25 degrees, and I thought I was going to die. Not sure how you guys deal with weather lower than that essentially every year. I am such a pussy

Dude, seriously. I lived in Maryland from ages 2-18, and Illinois/Kentucky from 19-28. So I'm definitely used to shitty cold weather. But I've been in SoCal now for about a year and a half. It was 17 motherfucking degrees this morning. I don't even know how to cope anymore. I can't wait to transfer down to San Diego in another 18ish months and not have to deal with anything below 40 ever again.

It's definitely funny watching the news around here though (I get all the LA channels). The first video, I will say that it flooded quite a bit with all that rain. But it was definitely overblown.

I concur. Snow is annoying but having to punch your door repeatedly when your business is locked up and you are stuck in a parking lot trying to break enough ice to get your door open so you can even start thawing it out SUCKS.

This is the beautiful tree in my backyard after the bullshit of Thursday night. It's a shitty picture and hard to tell but the tree split perfectly three ways with 1/3 on the back fence, 1/3 on the driveway fence, and 1/3 in the yard. Luckily it didn't smash the new fence but it did block the alley and the driveway which left me stuck in my house most of the weekend. I fucking hate being stuck inside (I'd still take an inch of ice over that -30 bullshit).
