We left Southern Illinois this morning (back to Florida) to try to stay ahead of this thing. Think they were saying it'd get bad starting about 90 min ago until about 11pm.

Got pretty interesting in west TN. Power still out from the winds and sounds like some areas near me got some tornado action. Covington is about 5miles from me.

LEVEL 5/5 THREAT FOR STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS THIS AFTERNOON/EVENING.

A Tornado Warning has been issued for Haywood County, Lauderdale County and Tipton County, Tennessee until 6:37 p.m. That warning has been extended for Haywood County and Crockett County, Tennessee until 7:11 p.m.

A tornado has been reported on the ground near Covington, Tennessee. If you are in the Covington area, you need to seek shelter immediately. Winds with this storm are moving between 70 and 100 mph.

BELVIDERE, Ill. (CBS) -- A structure collapse was reported Friday evening during a concert at the Apollo Theatre in Belvidere, Illinois.

The concert began at 7 p.m. Morbid Angel, Revocation, and Skeletal Remains were on the bill at the venue.

An awning collapse and a partial roof and floor collapse were reported. Numerous ambulances were dispatched to the scene.


Belvidere is located in Boone County, about 72 miles from Chicago.

The Apollo is located at 104 N. State St. at the north end of the Belvidere Business District.

The collapse was reported as severe storms with 90 mph winds blew through.

3 tornados on the groun in/near Tunica, MS today. Town of only about 2,000 people and then the nearby casinos.

Had to pick up my mom since she's on oxygen and still no power in her area. Roads were covered in debris but crews were out doing a good job clearing them. Internet still out so stuck with the phone. Going to watch some Ted Lasso with the fam.

Saw the debris of this hitting the air from. My back yard. Knew when light colored stuff was swirling up into the dark clouds something was going down. Still no internet and a ton of people without power.
