While that is likely true of extreme specifics, it is possible to scientifically make some general predictions more than three days out. I recently watched a documentary on this, and it is really quite amazing the number of scientific elements that go into predictions.
We are about half way through what was predicted as 16 inches of snow. Almost certainly going to be a no school day tomorrow. They can not keep up with it. We've been going up and down the road here and the surrounding roads on the snowmobiles, helping idiots who are stuck in the snow. I think we're going to get an "essential personnel on the road only" warrant here soon. It's a mess, but what a lot of fun!
