the tv weather guys up here in the NYC area are trying to scare people with 3-4 days of snow in their forecasts. i checked the weather channel website and it says we are going to be cloudy in the upper 30s /low 40s til tuesday with rain mixed with snow likely on monday. when everyone predicted we would be hit with 30+ inches of snow the other week, the weather channel website said we might get around 11 inches at most. i think i will believe them over those cocksmokers on tv.

Don't rely too much on early weather channel website predictions. They jump the gun early. It went from 8-13" yesterday to a couple hours later 4-6" then a few hours later they changed it again to 6-8". I prefer usingNOAA - National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administrationthey generally don't post totals until their pretty sure about what they will be.

Last year Michigan got hit hard with snow & ice...now...it appears the boston area is getting fucked. Oh well. We got ~16 inches of snow last week, but it was all the super cold, super fluffy shit so travel wasn't even bad. Suppose to get ~1inch of freezing rain on sunday, but we'll see how that goes. Snow all you want, I don't care, but freezing rain I'll pussy out on. Black Ice is the devil.
No kidding. I'm tired of all the teasing. Just give us a payoff for at least one day.

I teach a physics class in the evenings that has one lecture day on Wednesday and labs on Monday. So far this semester the lecture has met twice and the lab has never met. Classes were cancelled again tonight and next Monday is a holiday! The only saving grace is that at least I have had the two lecture class meetings. Some of the evening classes only meet once a week for 4ish hours as they are meant for busy professional types. Monday versions of those have yet to have their first class...
