It's a lot harder to do while you're walking. Bikes are ideal because it lets you keep the controller completely stationary.

You're probably one of those retards who bends his whole body and moves the controller to the left or right when playing driving games and whatnot, so that's why you couldn't manage it. BEND FARTHER LEFT AND YOUR CAR ON THE TV SCREEN WILL MAKE A SHARPER TURN!!!

There were cheaper options, maybe $150 less a month, but they noticeably farther away from our workplaces or one of them was unlicensed.

What did you think childcare would cost?
I have no idea man, I'm only 24, kids are the furthest thing from my mind.

But my god. You and your wife must have a decent income to afford that kind of bullshit.

$2400 a month for childcare?! Fuck it. Getting my nuts chopped off.

Approximately 96k combined in Ithaca ny, but the kid is going to eat most of what we were saving. And we aren't big spenders, we were saving about 25% of our post tax income before the kid came along.

Jury still out on whether it is worth it, but I suspect it will be. Little guy is barely a day old and napping on my lap while mom rests.

No McCheese I didn't have the controller tilting when I play racing games you godsamb sonovabitch.

We're planning on my wife staying home when the kid is born. We figured at that price we'd be better off with her quitting and having the child be raised by her at least

My sister lived near Boston and I don't remember her saying the childcare was that much. My wife doesn't make much but her working plus childcare is still hundreds of dollars per month in our pockets.

Childcare here in CT is typically between 12 and 18k a year for the first kid based on every one of my friends and co-workers who have kids. It's usually half price per kid after the first.

To be fair I haven't looked into it at all, but she can't work at the post office when she gets pregnant and can't work 11 or 12 hour days after either so it's whatever. Ill be making enough to take care of us for awhile

Ok I ran into an issue if you will today at the grocery store and this seems like the best place to ask. I was shopping for "healthy" coffee creamers and my choices were Sugar free or fat free. Now I know that the main ingredient in no calorie sweeteners is Aspartame. Now I have read some articles about how the stuff is bad for you or at least makes you crave other sweet things but I also read that all it basically is, is a protein and is harmless. Now in regards to the fat free people have been told that fat is bad for you but there is also studies how a little bit of fat can be beneficial. Now I don't know if they are talking about any type of fat that is not saturated or the fat that comes from fish/nuts etc.

Long story short. when looking at "healthy" items at the grocery store, what is better fat free or sugar free?

You're going to get all kinds of answers for this. My suggestions is: neither. Stick with "real" food, i.e if you want cream in your coffee, use cream.

That said, if your only goal is to lose weight then look at the calories and buy whichever contains the least amount of calories. I imagine sometimes that will be fat free and sometimes sugar free, depending on the product. I wouldn't classify that as "healthy", however.

Fat free is mostly garbage. It's stupid food for stupid people to buy. Your body needs fat. You want to avoid saturated fats and I think trans fat.

If you're trying to lose weight in general avoiding sugar is always good, but not all sugar free things are good for you. Like PizzaChipRoll said, if you need creamers just use it but don't buy into fat free.

Agreed. Although I would just try milk rather than cream and see if that does it for you.

I try and eat real food that on paper may be "less healthy" for me instead of eating bullshit that is dubious, like low fat or low sugar or whatever. Just in general. To me, if I'm going to eat it I am going to enjoy it.

Also, eating real food will make you stick to your diet easier because you aren't suffering at every meal.

That's some bullshit that came out of the 80's and 90's. Dietary fat doesn't make you fat. Even saturated fats are fine for you. Basically, just avoid trans fats.

And unless you're on some kind of low-carb diet, you should probably avoid going over .5g per pound of bodyweight for fats.

Everything is relative imo. Bodies differ from person to person, and I've found you have to see what works for you. I did the high protein, high fat, low carb. Got me no where. Did the "bro" diet with nothing but "clean" foods. Somewhat worked, but really not that great. What I've found is my body does it's best with a fuck ton of carbs, high amount of protein, and limiting my fat content. Could all this be mental? Possibly. But limiting my fats has caused a decreased in body fat, leaner look, and the appearance of abs.

Keep in mind, I lifted during college for 2 years and saw literally no results. Definitely saw strength gains, but truly nothing in terms of physique. I stopped lifting for like three years because I wasn't SEEING anything. Started lifting again in February, down 25 pounds, and definitely seeing results, even if they're small gains (like being more vascular, etc.).

At this point in my fitness, I eat what I want and still lose weight. This is partly possible because I've never been a glutton, but I will eat calorie/carb heavy things on occasion (e.g. gnocchi, pastry, etc.). At swimming 2-3 times a week at 90-120 minutes progress has been variable, with transient plateaus, but just continuing on regardless of gains has been highly effective if a bit inefficient. Once I hit my ideal weight, it's going to be a Sophie's choice between exercising less or eating more.

<--- Total glutton. But being a glutton with grilled chicken and a rice medley is different than being a glutton with fried chicken and french fries, even if they were made at home!

I know some people say dthat calorirs dontare equal, but i think eating natudal stuff is beyter than artificial crap, even if the calories are the same.
